A serene and soulful graduation portrait capturing a major life milestone amidst the iconic beauty of a Texas spring. This Collin College graduate, dressed in vibrant royal blue regalia with silver and white stoles, pauses for a quiet moment of reflection while holding a single, delicate Texas bluebonnet.
The soft-focus background of the wildflower field creates a dreamlike "sea of blue" that perfectly complements the rich tones of her graduation gown. The bluebonnet, a symbol of Texas pride and the endurance of nature, serves as a beautiful metaphor for the growth and resilience required to reach this academic achievement. This image blends the formal tradition of a college commencement with the natural, fleeting beauty of a Lone Star State spring, creating a timeless memory of success and new beginnings.

It’s spring, but this year the winds have been relentless—blowing from the north or east, sharp and cold. Generation Z craves spring, warmth, closeness, and the chance to feel carefree. But their shoulders are heavy, and now there’s talk that the AMOC is weakening, and the weather in Northern Europe is turning rapidly colder. Another burden for Gen-Z to carry, on top of all the neglect left by their parents’ generation: polluted waterways, undrinkable water, and the earth itself choked with plastic. Microplastics are everywhere—inside fish, vegetables, the soil, and probably inside me too. What we need is closeness, warmth, and someone to talk to about everything, without feeling stupid or alone.
Out of lockdown (again!) and able to shoot once more although took a while to remember what the buttons on the camera did! 😁

Sometimes a narrow gap is all it takes to turn an ordinary backyard view into something cinematic. The rugged texture of old wood paired with the vibrant green of new leaves creates a contrast that’s hard to miss.
