To give my butterfly lots of dimension and movement I stamped it in Dusty Concord Distress Ink and then coated it in Diamond Glaze. Once dry I cut it out and then molded it using my fingers. I mounted it using foam tape.

Always plenty of action by the Coots disputing territory & females in spring. At other times they seem quite docile. Shame they were not in open water as the reeds got in the way

We spent the night of April 5th / 6th 2001 in Payson Arizona, after our (Jonathan Allen & myself) trip from Snowflake (home of the Apache Railroad) to Phoenix was terminated at the first sign of civilisation, due to the heavy rain turning to deep snow & thought of getting stuck in it, seemed a distinct possibility.
My 11-year-old daughter decorated these hardboiled eggs at our homeschool co-op. She refused to eat them until I photographed them.
We are not religious people, yet we celebrate the rituals of both Judaism and Christianity, because we've grown up with them. I think of these eggs as "Springtime" eggs rather than Easter eggs. I even put dyed eggs on our seder plate!
