"Every thing is possible in Springtime."
I've made greeting cards with colored pencils and pens ever since I was a kid... It is a simple joy...
every spring for the last 30 ish years Touffic would leave home in the spring and take his dog, truck and trailer out into the forest to plant or thin or survey trees in the National Forest. He worked from New Mexico on up into Idaho and Montana. He would return home in September or so and settle into the fall routine of getting wood and and preparing for winter. and then there would be another spring - another season in the woods hiking around with his partner/ pack dog - until this year - this is probably the last time we would have our springtime farewell.
so on to the next adventure.....
After a day of heavy showers, you can almost feel the growth in this field on a sunny Spring evening.

Pattern: Springtime Bandit, by Kate Gagnon
Knit in Blue Heron Metallic, color Flax. This yarn has been marinating in my stash for almost five years; this will be a shawl for one of my bridesmaids.
Springtime Lilacs - Lilac bush in my side yard...for now. Coming down soon to make room for new landscaping. I will miss my lilac bush. It was a reminder for the past 20 years that warmer whether was coming soon.

Start and end with 2 garter selvage stitches
Work only 2 repeats of the B chart
Finish with a crocheted picot bind off
All the yarn is handspun, 2ply sock weight, that I worked up on my spinning wheel. The orange fiber is a kool-aid dyed mix of angora, alpaca and soy. The red is a blend I bought of wool, sari silk and sparklies. I haven’t calculated the yardage I used yet.
