Lihua with Asian pear tree blossoms (Pyrus pyrifolia) in the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna
Recently visited Oldmoor Wood, Nottinghamshire. Oldmoor Wood is a woodland in Nottinghamshire, near the village of Strelley. It covers a total area of 15.11 hectares. It is owned and managed by The Woodland Trust.
I went primarily for the beautiful Bluebells. There is a mix of Native and Spanish Bluebells.
Native Bluebells are protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
How to tell the difference.
English Bluebells: Flowers on one side of the stem.
Spanish Bluebells: Flowers all around the stem.

Well, flickr has finally forced the beta version on us English speakers, my first impression was yuck, OMG, this sucks...upon further review , I have decided to embrace it. I wish for a couple of fixes, allow me to give and take notes,
I LOVE notes, and designate a place where all my pending Admin invites can be seen.
In the meantime, I'm flipping between English and Spanish,
where I can still enjoy the old version, but I know it won't be long now...
and once again, the images are SO MUCH better in the lightbox! ;-)
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!

About this Photo: What can I say? A robin (and not a partridge) in a pear tree!
Happy Pear Tree Monday (HPTM)
Better seen in large size, by the way.
Getting out to Crystal Bridges/Compton Gardens at this time of year is pretty magical. It's sure tough to beat seeing everything in bloom!

The Bradford pear trees usher in Springtime. This nice country cattle farm always looks inviting. It was a quick, unplanned shot. I had difficulty composing and adjusting to changing light.
Springtime is my favorite time of the year, so refreshing to watch all things come to life again !! Wishing you all a Beautiful & Blessed Weekend ~ Hugs ~♥~
Just one of those magical scenes where you can sit and watch the day go by!
