Snow drops appear, perhaps spring is on the way.

Colan Churchyard Daffodil.

Enjoying his beer and cigarette on Great Western Road during the unseasonably warm and sunny spell of weather for late March in Glasgow

Heading up towards Five Turnings.

Creed Church.

This is another church that is a beggar to get a good, clear shot of, although it would be easier on a duller day as on this visit the 'best' angle to get the whole building in was straight into the sun.

Wide angle makes for wonky verticals. Horizontals as well by the look of the bench the bike is leaning on.

Those of us who can need to make the most of such spring sunshine and for me it has been out and about on the road bike, in fresh air and spring sunshine on our local Yorkshire lanes.

The Bridleway between Nantellan and the A390 near Grampound.

Lovely sunshine today, but tempered by a chilly wind.

I could not face this so point and shoot worked for me....it also makes me think of the crayon drawings made by children, with the big sun in a corner and rays spreading out in all directions. It was too powerful, even with shades on my eyes, to hold my eyes open as I framed and took this shot.

Protect your eyes...they allow you to view our beautiful planet.

Some rather splendid blossom on display on a Bridleway at Penpol.

I thought it was high time the Giant had an outing, and most enjoyable the ride was too. It feels so quick after riding my mountain bikes so much lately.

Just a quick ride into Truro today, so not many snaps taken.

This was passing through Idless Woods.

A ride I always do at this time of year due to the bridleway being lined with lots of Wild Garlic.

It's just a lane, but on days like this, I could ride them all day long.

A view from the house across the River Wharfe and Otley Bridge.

Bluebell's No. 323 "Bluebell" passes the bluebells in Lindfield Wood with the day's first down train from East Grinstead

I must confess I hadn't heard of this place - the Friends Meeting House at Come-To-Good near Truro, until I saw it recently in a countryside magazine.

As it lay on a loop of a ride that was already on my 'to do' list, it just added impetus to do the ride, long one though it was.

The Bridleway between St Clement and Trennick Lane, lined with Bluebells and Wild Garlic, is also miles from any traffic, so nice and peaceful.

The Gorse is looking really vibrant of late.

Goss Moor.

The 13.20 Truro - Newquay making its way through my home port.

Proper rural bus that - it's green.

A glorious blazing sun rising in the background of Broughty Ferry and its castle - on the morning of Thursday 22nd March 2012 - 6.10am - Dundee, Scotland

The lane that skirts the edge of Trehane Wood.

Out for more back road bimbles.

Glorious sunshine, and a couple of hours spent at this church snapping away at the flowers and generally poking around.

Gorgeous morning for a ride, if a little chilly to start with.

Another glorious sunny morning.

On the Old Tram Road, Penpol.

A rather besplattered Marin in a lane Near Mitchell.

Not a great day for taking snaps today, well the day was lovely, but I wasn't feeling in a photography mood. One of those days when it just wasn't happening.

Bodrean Lane.

Mary's Milk Bar was doing a roaring trade - this was the queue of people waiting to get into her small gelataria. I don't blame them, Mary makes the best ice-cream in town! She experiments with different flavours regularly - well worth a visit if you are in the Grassmarket area of the city.

The Marin at Treveale on the Ladock - Mitchell road.

Not sure as to the species but growing on a local lane and in today's spring sunshine - I thought I was cycling past very early raspberries!

View through a gate to the distant St Columb Minor Church.

Lovely morning for it, if a trifle windy.

Shortlanesend Bridleway.

The Ladock - Mitchell road, with Ladock Woods in the distance.

View over a hedge on the Ladock-Probus road.
