After 5 long months of snow and ice winter has ended. There is no better feeling in the mind or the heart as when Spring starts anew. Manitowish River Boulder Junction Wisconsin.
It's spring, the time when my world seems delirious with the blooms of beautiful blossoms - yes, I have spring fever! 😊🌷

Forsythia on the first day of Spring. Better in the light box. Thanks for the look and have a Great Thursday.
"When scattered clouds are resting on the bosoms of hills, it seems as if one might climb into the heavenly region, earth being so intermixed with sky, and gradually transformed into it." ~Nathaniel Hawthorne
This is a photo of the Manitowish River in the Northern Highlands state forest north of Boulder Junction Wisconsin. This is my destination on a beautiful sunny spring day to hear the water cascading over the rocks and to see the beautiful clouds pass overhead. It is a serious case of Spring Fever to say the least.

Presque comme "un serpent boa qui digérait un éléphant". Ou un chapeau, selon la personne qui regarde. ;-)

The tulip is a Eurasian and North African genus of perennial, bulbous plants in the lily family. It is a herbaceous herb with showy flowers, of which around 75 wild species are currently accepted. (wikipedia)
That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!

Ollie has been missing for a week. We hope that it is "Spring fever" and that he has found himself a girlfriend. He is very much a homely cat and the most affectionate cat I've ever known. Ollie, we miss you. Find your way home.
Flowering Dogwood at Davey Dogwood Park.
It is the state tree of Virginia and state flower of North Carolina. It is a common ornamental landscape tree that offers something nice throughout the year. The tree provides showy white flowers in spring, rich green foliage in summer, bright red leaves in fall and red berries relished by birds and animals all winter..
The white petals of the dogwood flower are actually leaf-like growths called bracts rather than true petals. The actual flowers are in the cluster at the center of the dogwood bloom. The showy bracts can attract pollinating insects to the flowers. .

My maternal grandmother had a saying for everything. As kids, whenever my sister and I were bickering (hard to believe, I know) she would say, storm coming!
Seeing these two dogs chasing each other around yesterday proved her point once again as today we were under a watch for severe wind, hail, and even the possibility of a tornado. Thankfully, the worst of it missed us.
In any case, we were out for a birding walk with Lynn spotting and hearing birds I had no idea were in the vicinity, when this man carrying a bag of goodies walked by with his dogs and I was drawn to the action.
Sunset and silhouettes on the Atlantic Ocean. Gaspesie, Canada. #1
Another of my winter sunset collection. The shadows and colorful horizon made me stop on the road 132 to take this shot :)
Perfect place to be around animals and nature and be able to observe spectacular sunsets and surises every day. You can rent this house in winter as well as spring summer or fall. Sometimes we can see New-Brunswick at the horizon, if weather permits it.
