The Columbine in my garden is in bloom. I have colors from white to purple to red. This one is in my shade garden.

I have very mixed feelings about zoos- especially when it comes to the great apes- our closet relatives. The Bonobo is critically endangered in the wild. I know zoos do a lot to try and rebuild wild populations and, without them, most of us would never see these amazing creatures. Even though they have room to climb and explore, it's still as if they are in jail.
This one was here when we bought the house. I have moved and divided it but it is always the first to bloom! I just love it!
