Nothing says spring like a waterfall surrounded by lush green woods. Don't remember the name, but this was taken shortly after the previous post

So yesterday was the first day of spring and I post a wintery scene....nice job Kevin. Here is a photo a little more spring like. Hopefully spring is here to stay....might reach 50 degrees today.
“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.”
Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast
Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio www.springgrove.org/
The cemetery dates from 1844, when members of the Cincinnati Horticultural Society formed a cemetery association. They took their inspiration from contemporary rural cemeteries such as Père Lachaise in Paris, and Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. On December 1, 1844 Salmon P. Chase and others prepared the Articles of Incorporation. The cemetery was formally chartered on January 21, 1845, and the first burial took place on September 1, 1845. In 1855 Adolph Strauch, a renowned landscape architect, was hired to renovate the grounds. His sense and layout of the "garden cemetery", made of lakes, trees and shrubs, is what visitors today still see. In 1987, the association officially changed its name to "Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum" to better represent its remarkable collection of both native and exotic trees, as well as its State and National Champion Trees.
Being an optimist can be a challenge, but I'll forever have hope for our world and its inhabitants. "Expect to have hope rekindled. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again."
Sarah Ban Breathnach
Well, this was a much more encouraging result!
This was from the first roll of APS film I've shot and had developed in 2022 that didn't turn out shitty. In fact, for expired film, I'd say the roll turned out pretty much perfectly. The colors are almost true-to-life; most pics don't have any light bleeding, and it goes to show that my Canon EOS IX Lite isn't useless, and that my Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L lens isn't useless for APS film photography. It goes to show that the quality of the expired film (the one variable I don't have control over) is by far the most important factor in how useable a developed photo is.
This was also my first roll of AGFA film, which I ordered from a shop in Portugal, so I'm impressed with that!
Camera: Canon EOS IX Lite
Lens: Probably my Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L, but possibly my Sigma EX DG 50mm macro.
Film: AGFA, ISO 200
Expiry: 2004.

For me, Photographic Impressionism explores the playful, poetic possibilities of light stirred up with my emotional response to color, line, and pattern, yet can easily become just another belt-notched technique if I fail to explore the metaphors outside the forest.
Saturday Self Challenge
In this challenge, photograph signs of Spring for those living in the Northern hemisphere, and for members who live in the southern hemisphere, Autumn.
Spring, sunny skies and flowers appearing everywhere along the South West Coast Path. The gorse is in bloom and everything is turning green and lush again. Only a chill wind blowing off the sea reminds you that it is spring and not summer, not the sort of day to be heading off out without some warm clothing.

Spring is life
Spring is hope
So is love and happiness.
Spring renews.
Without spring,
life is forlorn.
Spring is nostalgia
after bitter storm.
Put spring in your heart.

A windmill, a fence…add a little brook, and you have the perfect mix for a serenade to spring!

The water comes from a spring to power the mill near Mitchell, Indiana. A quarter mile waterway course connects the spring to the mill. Unique being this far north in that it never freezes. The mill opened in 1817 with the limestone supports quarried locally.
