Wes Skiles Peacock Spring State Park, southwest of Live Oak, FL, is most widely known for its vast collection of interconnected underwater caves which attract cave divers worldwide to this obscure Florida gem. Apart from being an underwater destination, its a location of supreme and tranquil beauty that maintains an almost prehistoric character in the colder months. While swimming is allowed, there are springs (nearby too) which provide a better swimming experience. This spring is all about stepping back in time and seeing something truly wild.
Lucky to view two mothers with spring cubs in 2014 at Lake Clark National Park. Only saw these little guys a couple times, but they were active and entertaining.
Well, at least on the eastern shore of Maryland. These buds were right outside our car as we parked in Berlin, Maryland. That is a small town just outside Ocean City, and well worth a visit. Great old looking town with nice buildings, shops, restaurants, and small town feel that takes you away from the ocean vacation town hustle and bustle ;)
Mrs. Krach got to shop, and I got to photograph some neat architecture ... one of those to follow.
