Even though the magic of birds singing and flowers blooming and green returning is still happening this spring, somehow this celebration of nature seems muffled this year by the pall of pandemic. I still admire the beauty of spring, but my heart is going out to all those who are suffering - may Heaven help us all ...

"We stand now where two roads diverge. but unlike the roads in Robert Frost's familiar poem, they are not equally fair. The road we have long been traveling is deceptively easy, a smooth superhighway on which we progress with great ease, but at its end lies disaster. The other fork of the road - the one less traveled by - offers our last, our only chance to reach a destination that assures the preservation of the earth."

~ Rachel Carson, "Silent Spring"

Community garden, Kleingarten, in Spring.

This newborn calf can't be more than two days old and still isn't the most sure on its feet yet. It was pretty fun watching it trot around after a little nursing. Newborns are one of my favorite things in Spring. Keller, Texas, USA, March 2015

¡FELIZ MAYO!

HAPPY MAY!

Spring is the Re-birth season par excellence. We are fertile cosmic seeds, let us germinate again, so that the heart full of joy blossoms and we bring the happiness of spring flowering to all the seasons of our life, that we can restart each time with new vigor, with the force of spring in flower.

Last week, spring just exploded on the lower elevations of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. This image was taken on Friday 3/30/2007.

Some spring flowers in the garden, hooray!

Most crocus flowers are a pale shade of purple. Some of them are yellow though which makes them stand out in a large area of them.

The flowers are famous for blooing very early on in the spring time. Sometimes they come out as early as February.

ODC - March 19th ~ SOOC

I saw these flowers as I drove home today and took this with my Coolpix L110 as I drove by. I put it on zoom and got this photo...no processing or anything...just straight out of the camera. It is so good that spring has finally arrived.

Leaves starting to emerge on one of our trees, a sure sign of spring.

One of those days in Coronavirus I took a little walk near my home.

And finally the fresh green leaves of spring have burst open.

You know spring has sprung when you find a complete field of naturally occurring flowers. Even this photo doesn't do justice to how beautiful this really was.

This is Doritaenopsis Arakaki Spring Fairy 'A#6', a phalaenopsis family hybrid, which I purchased at the annual orchid show at Tokyo Dome.

With Spring coming soon I thought it a good idea to make a second jewelled egg with a Spring theme. I wanted this egg to be similar in style to the first jewelled egg called ‘Love’.

This egg is made of emerald bricks decorated with silver lines, polished silver ornaments and a shiny gem on top. The egg is placed upon a small pedestal of silver in the shape of paws. Like the first jewelled egg there is a surprise inside: a chicken and an Easter bunny!

Now, let the Spring season begin!

I'm looking for my shot of a sunflower. But these keeps showing up on my screen :)

I always know its spring whenever I see this tree's flowers from my uncle's study room <3

A white world in the spring

Here was the Mt. Norikura, the south area of the Japan North Alps.

I saw the Alps from the mountaintop of Mt. Marishiten, approximately 2,870m above sea level in the early morning.

Even in spring a white snowy world opened under my eyes.

Many white peaks of the Mt. Norikura were seen just under eyes, and the Yari - Hotaka mountain range was seen beyond them.

Marie has chosen TIME as our word for inspiration for this week and that made me think of SPRING TIME so here we are. I wanted to 'tweak' this a little more but I ran out of TIME!

Thank you for looking.

What to do on a sunny day? Don't ask that to a photographer, because they are going to tell you find a location and take tons of photos!

I did that today, the day was perfect, not a cloud in the sky, nice and fresh for walking, daffodils, tulips and crocuses are in full bloom, the trees are finally putting on a show, and I want to share with you all something from this day...

Mother nature, you are awesome, this one is for you...

Nature inspired me to become a photographer. I specially love trees, birds and flowers, but there is so much to see, enjoy and capture during a long hiking trip, a lake, a conservation area, forest or park, the list of places is very long!

Graphic design is another way to express myself. I love reinventing a photo that I have seen, in different ways. I use Photoshop to do these transformations, and I also my own photos to create textures.
