Are you chasing spring as well? It’s still a bit cold and windy here in Chicago and the weather feels really flip floppy but I’m happy that spring is finally here! On my way to work I decided to quickly run to the south side and potentially get something interesting. What do you think?

Blue skies and flowering trees! I finally felt well enough to stop at the Sensory Garden after work last night. Love all the flowering trees and especially against a gorgeous blue sky. At the University of Kansas.

Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!"

One week ago I woke at 6am to the sound of different birds singing. Not our normal winter kind, but the kind you hear in the spring. I just KNEW it was Spring! Two days later the prediction groundhogs BOTH did NOT see their shadows and they announced there would be no 6 week extension of winter. Ha! I knew before they did!! Today we hit 65 degrees! Sunshine all over the place...which is both a blessing and a curse, as I have a lot of artwork to do for the shops...but I REALLLLLY want to be outside with the camera...since I was chained to my table making art all winter long!!! I promised myself if I worked on my artwork until 3p,m and cleaned up, I could go out for some photos and my beach walk, So, for 2 day now I have followed that plan....sort of...ok so today I slacked a bit but who could blame me!!! I was able to find a bunch of free supplies for a project as I beach walked so shoot me!!!
I have company coming for the weekend so tomorrow morning I will work...and deliver to the shop. Then I will meet a friend to scavenge for REALLY old artifacts in a secret spot along the sound....then come home and work more and have dinner...yeah...that’s the plan! It’s pay week for January so hopefully even tho this is off season I will have a few decent checks to deposit and get any supplies I need for March. I will be teaching a class this month on Phoneography and Editing ..wish me luck because this is WAY WAAAAAY out of my comfort zone!
This is Danube St. Beach access and it is a couple short blocks from my house in the neighborhood where I live! It was a beautiful night to shoot there! Oh and this is not enhanced...this is how it really looked to me and Mark the Third! :)

The campus is blooming everywhere and the colors are beautiful. I need to take more walks with my R6 and put a wide lens on it.
Royal Spring, part of a small county park in rural Suwannee County Florida, is one of Florida's best kept secrets. It lies on the Suwannee River some 10 miles southwest of Live Oak, Fl. Featuring a deep and breathtaking pool, a wonderfully fun diving platform, and surrounded by karst formations, the rarely crowded Florida spring provides an excellent swimming experience.
Sam and I went on a walk yesterday to see what spring colors we could dredge up. This is what we found. :-)

Hi Everyone,
Finally, it's the first day of spring! I'll not see tulips for another month or two, but the days are warmer and the snow is melting. Here's to spring! Happy Sliders Sunday! HSS!
