The Grand River was lit up this morning. Since Spring came at 7:44 am yesterday this would be the first "official" Spring sunrise !! Welcome!

After a couple of days of sunshine the Spring blossom is certainly coming into its own.

Apologies for not being on Flickr as much and lack of comments, I just seemed to have lost a bit of motivation. I have had a few problems with the camera and decided to treat myself to a new one which hopefully will give me an incentive to get out and about taking piccies again xx

Pacheco State Park, California

A lush grassland from a few years ago when there was abundant winter rainfall. Blue oaks dot the hillside. This was a ranch from the times of the Mexican land grants until the 1990s when the last member of the family donated the land to California as a state park.

the spring within has come to shower me

with the peace I craved for long.

I'm currently on vacation in the south of my country, but this photo was taken when I was still in Porto. I'm a little bit in love with it, and I might work on a couple of companion pieces. I hope you have a wonderful rest of week! Also, Darling Heart is coming to stay with me for a little while (YAY!) so I'll be a little bit absent. But we'll do our best to shower you with photos.

We always get a "Spring" tease around this time of year...today was no exception. No coats, sun, green grass and bulbs pushing their way up through cold ground! The sun feels so good on the skin and for the soul! But once it goes down, it's chilly again, but while it's out, we enjoy it's gentle kiss and a promise of more to come~
