Spring has arrived. The cherry blossoms are ready to blossom. I don’t usually shoot flowers but this was outside me front door so I couldn’t help myself.

The lovely white flowers are native to Central and Southern Europe.
They prefer to live on rich, mildly acidic soils. Mostly in valley forests where the soil is moist enough for them. But they can appear on wet floodplain meadows where the soil is rich enough.
The plant is strongly protected by law in Germany and many other lands in Europe.
This painting that hung in the Kentucky State Capitol really caught my attention. It has terrific composition, dynamism, shadows, and spring colors.
I can feel the ground rumble.

We saw this one bed of spring flowers at Belgrave Hall. The scent from the hyacinths was fabulous. Difficult to capture in a photo!
Early during the Spring, the Black Swallowtail butterflies are the first to visit my Azalea flowers. For a few days, I was able to capture this visitor enjoying its feast. The Azalea blooms pass so quickly, especially when they bloom unexpectantly early here in southern Georgia. I am heading out to Callway Gardens and exploring during the week. There shall be plenty of photography and plein air painting. When I get back, I shall be shooting the Milky Way back on Jekyll Island at my favorite 3am shooting time. :-)) Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and wonderful weekend.
Thanks for the favs and kind compliments. They are much appreciated!
Hard to miss this beautiful home on Hwy 101..with Spring green in surrounding hillside, the home stands out even better now..
Ya se percibe la explosión de vida de una buena primavera en el sur de España, tendremos que disfrutarla, como este carbonero común ( Parus major)
The explosion of life of a good spring is already perceived in the south of Spain, we will have to enjoy it, like this great tit (Parus major)
...balanced precariously on the edge of a brand new spring hosta leaf...one of the joys of the season!
Since this is the night we turn our clocks ahead.....damn daylight savings time! .....and this original photo was of Spring flowers, I though it an appropriate title.

Finally, Spring in southeast Michigan ! When the Red-winged Blackbirds sing in the marsh, and the sun is brightly shining, we know it is really Spring!
Photographed at Lake St. Clair Metropark, Michigan
172 332 trundles towards Spring Road station with the 10.26 Stratford-upon-Avon to Stourbridge Junction. The train is about to enter the concrete tunnel spanning the tracks, this unfortunate construction was a two storey car park for the adjoining Joseph Lucas Lamp factory at Shaftmoor Lane. After being stripped of it's assets by the new Japanese owners the factory was closed and later demolished, the empty useless carpark now is the only part that survives.

Slender Speedwell, a groundcover with very tiny but beautiful flowers growing in a corner of my backyard garden.
I've been busy doing Spring chores, but here's one from a Swamp Maple in the back yard. I love the splash of color these give to the woods before everything turns green.
