Apologies for poor quality, Photo was taken on a cameraphone.

morning split personality

My second photo journal assigment for UofT. The idea is that I am stuck in the middle of two images of a teacher: a friendly professional face to students, and an activist fighting the oppressive education system.

Sometimes my camera does a split personality thing. That's how I felt, just out of sorts.

weird day of weather. i understand this is normal. ha. minor adjustments with contrast and exposure in picnik.

This is our on so angelic looking Stitch!!!! That is about the only time she is even close to being angelic is when she is asleep. The rest of the time she is using Lilo's head as a springboard. Since Lilo is 76 lbs. and Stitch is (guessing) 6 or 7 lbs.......I doubt Lilo really even feels it!

I split my face in half, and each half was flipped and paired with itself. The image on the left is made with the right side of my face; the image on the right is made with the left side of my face. The image in the middle is untouched.

Part of a new portrait series I am working on for school.

This basketball hoop used to be a green ghoul. Now that the weather's improved the hoop's all happy. I preferred the green ghouls.

This is a composition using two photos I took of James Black of Finger Eleven when they played in Deep Ellum years ago. The smaller image is inset and illustrates the feeling of the music through playing the music.

Thanks to Sheila for the idea! I feel like this is my best picture yet, which makes me happy. It means I'm getting better at using my camera, just as I'm getting better at using photoshop. I'm surrounded by beautiful places to take pictures, so I'm planning on making full use of it, starting here.

It's from a movie in 2009. I did not go see the movie. But the poster in the theater lobby struck my imagination, so I photographed A CHUNK of it. It was an intense image, one of those that could haunt you in your dream, if you did not digest your dinner well.
