This little guy is the second amigurumi I've made.

I used djonesgirl's Oboro Chan pattern as inspiration :)

You can find her pattern here: www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=229038.0

Her's is too cute!

I made this little dude for Donna D.

Spinario, fraai bronzen beeld uit de 1ste eeuw n C. van een jongen die een doorn uit zijn voet trekt.

Now the exhibition is fully under way I feel it's time to put up the other four of the 'Splintered thoughts' collection :D

Not too sure how much the youth of the present and future have experience with wooden toys. But when my mind flies back to fragmented memories of my earliest days I remember many happy moments playing with solid simple shapes of wood with painted designs of cars, dogs or just primary colours.

And when I'm thinking those thoughts I like to believe this is in someway how I appear to everyone around me.

I've passed this house on 222 about a thousand times, along with a handful of other barns and run down mom and pop shops. Because they're so out in the open, I've never really taken the initiative to capture these little roadside attractions. However, this past Sunday morning I woke rather early and gave it a go.

Result of a bit too much wind, perhaps? Splintered stump of a pine branch.

The United States has a military presence in two-thirds of countries around the world, and some of them have had enough. A group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist - a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on U.S. interests.

My buddy and fellow TMNT Maniac Joe Keatinge and I were playing around with the idea of pitching a turtles series to IDW once we heard that they had gotten the license from Nickelodeon.

Once we started talking about our ideas, I immediately started drawing the boys and some of their awesome cast mates, mostly from memory. It's funny, the turtles aren't the most complex designs, but I hadn't drawn them since I was a teenager and they just came right back to me, easy peasy.

We hadn't gotten super far into the process before we heard that series co-creator Kevin Eastman was coming back to the turtles to do the new series! You pretty much can't go wrong with one of the people who created the series, so while I'm really sad I probably won't ever get to draw the turtles professionally and make my childhood dreams come true, I'm excited to see what Kevin and series artist Dan Duncan get up to!

Figured I'd go ahead and post these sketches up just for fun.
