I Teach Photoshop online to people all over the world, if you like my work, you will love the class.
African penguins enjoy fish, especially the ones with higher fat content. Zookeepers make sure to balance their diet with fish that are more nutritious.
If a penguin detects anything it doesn't like about a fish, the penguin will refuse to eat it. Sometimes, the penguin will also bite the hand that tried to feed it!
I am actually kinda amazed i did this. XD the overlay is a bunch of flowers(and a stop sign bar in the top right, i know) Sorry for no uploads lately, i've been in the video-making-mode lately, but i'll upload more photoshoots :D

Thought I'd make an effort today!
Paint and glitter bouncing around on a subwoofer. I've done this before on a black background which is waaay easier than white. My lights are all wrong and I need to have a longer play. Once I introduced the glitter on the white latex stretched over the speaker it was game over! I just couldn't get the bloody stuff off. Not wanting to ruin another pair of underpants I called it a day :)
Strobism: 3 x YN560IV's. One in a 24" softbox to the rear 1/32 @ 24mm. This was the most troublesome to get the lighting right. One each either side of the paint 1/64 @ 24mm. All wrapped up in cling film for obvious reasons!
Had another play with water drops tonight. Trying more to isolate with no distractions in the image. Haven't quite worked out how to get the reflection though. Got it on some images but this was the most dramatic splat and the wake destroyed the reflection!
On a clear day, in between storms at Glacier Point, the views were so massively beautiful that it made people cry.
I thought I had enough pictures of Half Dome, but I was once again wrong. The light and shadow play on this day made each image different. It looks like the clouds went splat on the face, but in reality, the clouds would form out of nowhere and appear in front of the face. Truly an amazing scene to behold.
So this is my entry for Cliche Saturday, but with a twist (or a splat at least).
Have a great weekend everyone!
I was surprised at what a difference the bokeh made in blk & wt, to me it looks as if someone splattered white paint all over :] ~

So here's another texture I made, feel free to use.
Download for full size.
Please credit me if used and it would be nice to leave a link or comment so I could take a look (and fave) the work done with it.
These are my early attempts at creating textures so feedback would be great :)
I also have a few others if you're looking, they are on my other account:
Mercury in motion - macro splat.
Please don't try this unless you really plan ahead and know a bit about handling toxic substances.
An experiment with mercury for the Canon Photo5 'Splat' (Capturing Action) brief. As soon as I saw this brief in the competition I knew I wanted to use mercury, a truly 'opaque' liquid. Unfortunately, it's not an easy thing to photograph - and I couldn't find anyone who would let me 'splat' it in their face or over their head for kicks. My final images were far from what I had hoped for but it was fun all the same - even if it was a difficult (and dangerous) thing to try. The clean up job afterwards was a killer.
Mercury - Chemical Symbol Hg, also known as quicksilver. Hg (hydrargyrum) is derived from the Greek word hydrargyros, which is a compound word meaning 'water' and 'silver' — since it is liquid like water, and yet has a silvery metallic sheen. The element was named after the Roman god Mercury, known for speed and mobility.
Thank you for looking.

On the floor of one room which served as a studio inside the Reed's house at Heide, one Australian Modernist artist has had fun. As to whose work it might be we can only speculate. But as I said in a previous photograph, most great Modernist Australian artists spent some time here at Heide. I like to think of this shot as a kind of abstract befitting the creative era of the 1930s to the late 1970s.
* PERSONAL NOTE:
I must apologise for not spending as much time on Flickr this week. I am assisting the Australian Electoral Commission in preparing for this Saturday's Federal Election, so my time is very limited at the moment. Please excuse my late responses to your comments and to my visiting your pages.
