114 Pictures for 2014 - #97 - Splash
This was taken a couple of months ago when we visited the Oregon Coast. The waves were fascinating and magnificent and oh-so-different than my usual scenery here on the prairie! I was impressed by how calmly these gulls sat in the spray.
In a vintagey kinda mood. Should've scooted back a couple o' scoots, but I ran out of sidewalk and it was crazy muddy. It would've been worth it though. Sigh.
We took Braiden over to the splash pad for the first time this summer. He didn't remember it at first, but after feeling the first drops of water he went crazy. He was having so much fun running around under all the sprinklers and splashing in the puddles.
During high tides in Saint Malo, the sea is wooly.
Waves come and scratch against the embankment.
To take this shot my camera was a bit wet and I was drenched ;)
Jurassic Park River Adventure.... I will admit that I'm scared of this ride, especially the big T-rex (aka Tiffany) at the end. I was clinging on to my friend for dear life.
Way better on black

Rain splashes from the rear tire at the finish of the 2009 Amgen Tour of California Stage 1 in Santa Rosa California
i tried capturing water splashes and drops for the first time yesterday...
it was my very first experiment at this...
and i learned a lot...
i started with water drops initially, but did not get satisfied, so i started trying it with strawberry,,,
and here are the results....
i took about 250 snaps in all, out of which about 170 were totally useless...and out of the rest 80 snaps..
only 8 of them can make it to flickr...
the pics are named chronologically,,,starting from the 1st..
