Spirit Island, a tiny tied island in Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, AB, Canada.

Spirit Island is the iconic Canadian Rocky Mountains landmark on Maligne Lake.
It is located at the far end of the lake and the only way to get there is by charter boat or private non-motorized vessel.
It is definitely worth the trip, as the scenery really is magnificent.
The only problem is that they allow you only about 10 minutes on the island for taking pictures, so there is not a lot of scouting for good locations, so a lot of pictures are all similar to each other.
Beautiful, none-the-less.

"Spirit Island"
Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park.
The island is a spiritual place for the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, who believe mountains are physical representations of their ancestors. The fact that Spirit Island is surrounded on three sides by the same mountain range is very rare and makes it particularly significant to the Stoney. The color of the water is different at Spirit Island than where cruises depart at the Maligne Lake docks. The further south on the lake you travel, the closer you get to glaciers, and the more emerald-colored the water becomes due to the presence of rock flour from the glaciers.
For this image, I smoothed out the water to give it a more peaceful environment. This was one of top three bucket list locations from this adventure. Moraine Lake at sunrise, walking on a glacier on the Icefield's Parkway, and Spirit Island in Jasper NP. We ended up driving over 4k miles from KC to the upper parts of Alberta, Canada. What an adventure.

On Piazza Vittorio Veneto there is a church that draws the attention of the tourist. A small church, but with a very characteristic sailing bell tower.
Inside, on the altar there is a 14th century polychrome stone Annunciation.
Belonging to the Knights of the Sovereign Order of Malta, it was built on the Benedictine Church of the "Holy Spirit" dating back to the year 1000 and visible in the cavea below Piazza Vittorio
Despite the somewhat misty day ,the cathedral can be glimpsed between the arches ,widening to see better .

Una chiesa piccola ma con un campanile molto caratteristico a vela .
All'interno sull'altare una Annunciazione in pietra policroma del XIV secolo .
Appartenuta ai Cavalieri del Sovrano Ordine di Malta ,venne costruita sulla chiesa benedettina dello " Spirito Santo " risalente all'anno mille e visibile nella cavea sottostante la piazza Vittorio .
Nonostante la giornata un pò brumosa , tra gli archi si intravede la cattedrale .

Only with heavy spring rains and snow melt does the water level rise enough to cut off the island from the lake shore.
