Spirit Roads

The chalk paths and trackways of Southern England are special routes, leading through the Downs, going past our prehistoric past of barrows and tumuli, henge's and Celtic Forts. The Romans preferred the lowlands, cutting up through the valleys.

I love to be walking these ways especially at twilight, when they seem to glow, when spirits can follow.
