Out and about with cool moonlight and flying sparks and Chris Renfro. It's getting to be that time of year when I can have a good evening of light painting in the mountains and still get home in time for few hours of sleep before my two-year-old wants to get up and play.
She just informed me that I have two minutes before we need to go to the bakery where she can have a muffin and I can get the coffee I desperately need this morning. Good times.
When I saw her face I knew from her eyes something was up but I always shoot first and ask questions later. Picking up tickets at the box office for a concert and just at that moment she sees the band (Kingsfoil) walk by. How cool is that!

Lensbaby Spark, looking down into the late day sun reflecting off a local pond, of course with the lens given a touch of a tweaky tilt, and taking in the len's refractive funkiness. 50mm, f/2.
Spinning the sparking steel wool around like a propeller and trying to taking off. It was a small pipe and I had the aperture & time wrong on the camera so I burnt it a bit.

I like the gown, but the fabric is a bit thick/stiff and over-scale for my tastes.

I've been spending some time making a Tesla coil for a project which may never happen. It turns out that in the process of getting high voltage stuff for microsecond flashes I have acquired a lot of the stuff needed to make a coil. So far I've spent a bit over 50$ on the project mostly for the protective filter.
