A year ago today, I started my 365 project with an uninspiring picture of my feet. I had been contemplating and thinking about doing this project for a long time prior to that fateful day, when I just decided to jump in.
(Get it? Jump in? With both feet? OK, yeah.)
I had no idea what I was going to do past that first day's photo, but I figured I'd just keep going and see what happened.
A year later, I'm almost done (I missed three days in the middle, so I'm making them up). I thought it would be appropriate to include another shot of my feet, since that's how it all started. Here, I'm standing on a bridge made of grates over a spillway for the Ohio River.
What did I learn? I learned that sometimes jumping in with both feet without a major plan can work. I learned that I have the tenacity to do a project like this, even though there were many, many days I didn't feel like it. That I could finish something I started. And that feels really good.
Friday! Here I am, taking a breather between tasks at work to hold up my mini-Gigan and take a picture.
(My second GIgan photo so far during this project - I told you I liked that crazy machete-handed creature!)
I finished knitting this scarf TWO YEARS AGO and finally washed and pin-blocked it this weekend. I can't believe it took me that long.
Details on Ravelry.

I submit this as further evidence that the strange object I found while hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes fell from outer space. At the time, the moon was at 1/2 phase....coincidence? I think not !!!
We need new pillows for the living room, and I can't decide on which fabric to use to make them. Our dark cave of a living room has one pea green wall and the rest are standard apartment white. Our couch is taupe, and the carpet is also beige. You can kind of see the couch and the green wall in this picture.
The fabric on the left is the safe choice, with browns, taupes and muted greens. The fabric on the right is the bold choice, as we have no blue anywhere else in our apartment, but it complements the green wall very nicely.
Safe or bold? I can't decide!
It's true. My very first manicure. Aren't you proud?
For anyone interested, the color is OPI's "The Grape Lakes" from their fall/winter 2005 Chicago Collection.
The wall color is "Lost Atlantis" by Behr.
It's gone for a spin in the washing machine, and looks much different now. As soon as the sun comes back out, I'll take a final photo.

State Fair project #2 - Dream in Color Tulip baby cardigan.
I was just going to post a close up of the yarn, but figured that since I'd posted "face" photos all week, I didn't want to break my streak! Hence the goofy look on my face, which is saying, "OK, I think I made it before the 10-second timer went off! Whew!"
