Deep in the swamps, somewhere in the Cobra-operated South America, the Dreadnoks operate their various schemes. The notorious Zartan, who is known to have regular ties to the Decepticon commender Megatron, rules these swamp lands unchallenged.
While Zandar and Zarana plan inside the Dreadnok shack, Torch and Ripper enjoy a frosty six-pack of grape soda. Buzzer approaches Zartan with an urgent message; a message from the Decepticon communicator, Soundwave.
Soundwave: 'Soundwave reporting.'
Zartan: 'What is it, Soundwave?'
Soundwave: 'A Cobra unit approaches. It is fronted by Copperhead. Their mission: to discover the nature of your operations with Megatron.'
Zartan: 'We'll be ready.'
Tankor shifted and slided back to his armoured tank form, closely followed by Blastcharge and the three armoured commanders drove off. Soundwave continued to hear their banter as they drove down the hill.
Blastcharge: Do you feel better now that that is out of your system?
Demolishor: Blastcharge, stop being such a fruit.
The Decepticon waited in the debris, his body wracked with pain. When the Decepticon communicator felt as though he was no longer on the minds of the his three armoured antagonists, he decided to find out what exactly WAS on their mind and transformed.
Soundwave: Initiate brainscan.
Soundwave was silently pleased that his voice was still full of harmonized awesomeness in his new body as a small radar-like device emerged from his forehead plate. He waited as he utilized a function that he had lost after Cobra had converted him into his satellite form. He was further pleased at the fact that he once again possessed the power to read minds and scanned the armoured commanders for their thoughts. Despite the pain that he was currently in, Soundwave was pleasantly shocked at what his scan would reveal.
Data streamed from inside the minds of Blastcharge and Demolishor into Soundwave's brand new databanks to be stored in the Decepticon's information matrix. Soundwave was not overly surprised to find nothing of notable interest here, but plenty of trivial information that may or may not be of use at some point in the future, so he decided to store the information despite its present lack of value.
It was as Soundwave scanned the mind of Tankor that his effort paid a dividend. The file on the scan on Tankor's mind at first read as corrupted. Soundwave examined this more closely to discover that the reason for this corruption was that Tankor's cerebro-circuitry had previously been violated by a foreign source. Soundwave looked further into the file, seeking to find the source of the 'corruption' and discovered that Tankor's mind had been violated by Tarantulus himself. Tarantulus had returned to Cybertron!

This is a commissioned MP Soundwave for a client who's been extremely supportive and a great friend during a very difficult time. Justin requested Soundwave be non-transformable, which allowed me a bit of more creative freedom. I was able to paint Soundwave's lower legs all blue, because the insides won't double as the front of the cassette player mode. I was also able to give a little more range in Soundwave's hip articulation. The visor's red LED is powered by a small power pack in Soundwave's back with easy-access battery and on/off switch. His chest was rebuilt. Soundwave's articulation includes ; head (ball joint), shoulder, upper arm swivel, elbow, wrists, fingers, hips, knees, ankles and feet pivot.

The only Transformer I have left from when I was a kid. He was always my favorite. Thought it would be cool to do something with it in recoginition of the new movie.
Time for a little photoshop magic...

If this lady (Screamer) didn't win something at the Masquerade (yes, it's a woman under all that Styrofoam), Wizard needs to have its geek license revoked. I was highly impressed. O_O!
