ℹ️ Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 30 in E major, Op. 109, composed in 1820, is the third-to-last of his piano sonatas. In it, after the huge Hammerklavier Sonata, Op. 106, Beethoven returns to a smaller scale and a more intimate character. It is dedicated to Maximiliane Brentano, the daughter of Beethoven's long-standing friend Antonie Brentano, for whom Beethoven had already composed the short Piano Trio in B♭ major WoO 39 in 1812. Musically, the work is characterised by a free and original approach to the traditional sonata form. Its focus is the third movement, a set of variations that interpret its theme in a wide variety of individual ways.

My funeral once... de bronce.
This is my submission for this weekend’s Vimeo/SoundCloud Weekend Project. The task was to feature Vanchy’s "Catching The Simple But Happy Days (Electronica road song)" in your video in some way and you had to produce the video this weekend. I decided to wander around Sydney city and gather peoples' reactions to the song.
Shot on Friday, and edited on Saturday and Sunday. Equipment: 550D, the song on my iphone, and a cheap pair of headphones. Edited in fcp, with a strobe effect added in Apple Motion (for kicks!)
Inspired of course by music videos like Cake’s ‘Short Skirt, Long Jacket’ but with a different feel to fit the music.
A big thank you to the locals and tourists of Sydney, Australia for being involved. It was so much fun to do and I met a lot of lovely, interesting people as you will see in the video. Cheers and enjoy :)

A songwriting workshop organized for teenagers by the cultural center of Marchin (Belgium) in 2000, thanks to Pierre Mossoux and "Mille Lieux de Vie" asbl.
We first worked on texts with some methods of writing inspired by DADA historical word games (cadavre exquis, collage, random samples of newspapers, etc). The melodies came later. I brought some instruments (guitars, percussions, keyboards, mics, amps...). Some of the teens had a musical background (and even a band called Swollen), but others didn't. I managed to help them to learn what we had composed and arranged.
Then I eventually recorded the four songs performed with young participants at X.Y.Zèbres studio (Huy, B).
We were lucky to play live for some gigs in our area, first time on stage for most of them.
A really amazing adventure !!
