NIEUWE FILMERS FILMCAFE #1 - 24 april 2019 Clubzaal Verkadefabriek in Den Bosch
Over - Sounddesign, muziek en geluid voor film & de Brabantse filmrelease ‘Naar Huis’
Filmmaker en Nieuwe Filmers host Ivan Hidayat interviewt de makers van de dansfilm ‘Naar Huis’ - Harry Verbeek regisseur -Monne Tuinhout producer, beide van Branded Cinema. En Jan Wouter Stam production sound mixer.
Filmcafe - een avondvullend programma in de sfeervolle Clubzaal van de gastvrije Verkadefabriek in Den Bosch. Interviews met de filmgasten afgewisseld met filmfragmenten en muzikale verrassingen geïnspireerd op filmmuziek door Dj Losse Veter. Voor een exclusief kijkje achter de schermen van de filmwereld en om in contact te komen met de gedreven filmmakers! Interessant voor filmmakers én nieuwsgierige filmliefhebbers. Bar is open tijdens het filmcafé, entree is gratis.
Het eerste Nieuwe Filmers filmcafé in dit seizoen met vijf gasten uit de filmwereld! De prijswinnende Ronny van der Veer geluidsartiest, gespecialiseerd in foley [geluidseffecten], over zijn werkwijze en de betekenis van geluid in film. Hij zal tijdens het filmcafé demonstreren hoe en waarmee hij geluiden voor film maakt. In de serie Brabantse filmreleases zijn te gast regisseur Harry Verbeek en producent Monne Tuinhout, de makers van de recent uitgekomen dansfilm ‘Naar Huis’. Ze tonen fragmenten uit de film en vertellen hoe deze bijzondere film tot stand is gekomen. Met Jan Wouter Stam production sound mixer van ‘Naar Huis’ praten we over de betekenis van setgeluid voor de film. In de rubriek Intermezzo geeft Wouter Jansen, van Some Shorts festival distribution, waardevolle filmdistributie tips voor korte films t.b.v. de komende One Week korte films.

SCLOrk (the Santa Clara Laptop Orchestra) is an innovative ensemble of up to sixteen players dedicated to the creation and performance of live electronic music. Created in the Spring of 2012 by SCU faculty Bruno Ruviaro and students, this interdisciplinary group explores the intersection of music composition, live performance, human/computer interaction, programming, and sound design, with emphasis on musical creativity based on cutting-edge technologies.

A trick stolen from the great editor and sound designer Walter Murch. A sound is sent to a cheap FM transmitter and then a radio is (de)tuned to receive it and re-recorded. Some interesting effects to be had.

Die monumentale Klanginstallation entstand in enger Zusammenarbeit des britischen Künstlers mit Architekten und Sounddesignern. The Morning Line wurde 2013 dem ZKM von der Stiftung Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary dauerhaft überlassen. Damit besitzt Karlsruhe im öffentlichen Raum ein interaktives Kunstwerk von internationalem Rang. Eine Stahlkonstruktion, die aus amorphen Formen besteht, trägt Lautsprecher und Subwoofer. Durch eine bewegungsempfindliche Software reagiert die Installation akustisch auf Veränderungen im Besucherstrom.

Conçue en collaboration avec les shapers du snow park de la station de Val Thorens, cette forteresse de 10m par 6m a été entièrement réalisée en neige.
