Milford Sound / Piopiotahi is one of roughly 90 places to have been given a dual name as part of a 1998 Treaty of Waitangi settlement with Ngāi Tahu, recognizing the significance of the fiord to both Māori and Pākehā New Zealanders. This name consists of both the Māori name and the former European name used together as a single name, instead of as interchangeable alternate names.
In te reo Māori, the fiord is known as Piopiotahi after the now extinct piopio, a thrush-like bird that used to inhabit New Zealand. According to the Māori legend of Māui trying to win immortality for mankind, a single piopio flew to the fiord in mourning following Māui's death. The name Piopiotahi refers to this bird, with tahi meaning 'one' in Māori. The fiord was given its European name in 1823, when the sealer John Grono named it Milford Sound after Milford Haven in his birthplace of Wales. The Cleddau River, which flows into the fiord, was also named for its Welsh namesake. (Wikipedia)

"Tokyo’s 'Green Milk from the Planet Orange' spins a cosmic blend of prog rock, psychedelia and experimental noise. Their sound is all about wild riffs, heavy grooves and improvisational twists." (Desertfest Berlin, www.desertfest.de/lineup/green-milk-from-the-planet-orange/)
The capture shows the band's bassist Wadamori Yu aka Damo. I was deeply impressed by their sounds, but also by the light on stage which made Wadamori's bass glow neon green.
The colours were so fantastic, I didn't have to change anything.
I found it very unusual to see a rock band playing sitting down, but I can imagine the effort it takes to produce these sounds, it certainly requires a lot of concentration.
As I watched this nice-looking Song Sparrow along the Meadowbrook Section of the Los Angeles County Arboretum I, of course, expected a SONG !!! However, all I received was the "Sound of Silence" LOL !

A miniature home made steam whistle removed from the "miljaarbak", that is the bin where all the failed parts that my husband made for his minature steam engines end up. It makes a whistle sound anyway. :-)

The church bells rang continuously for one hour to celebrate the 70 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II. They could be heard throughout the village and down on the banks of the River Great Ouse.

After we left Picton on the road around the Sounds on the way to Havelock, the sun was shinning and it was really warm. On our trip up the South Island of New Zealand April 2019.
With 150km of New Zealand's coastline, Marlborough Sounds is a collection of ancient sunken river valleys filled with the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Forested hills rise steeply from the sea around an intricate coastline of sheltered inlets and sandy bays. The area has three main bodies of water - Queen Charlotte, Kenepuru and Pelorus Sounds. The Department of Conservation manages over 50 reserves in this scenic playground.

On the road to Milford Sound. I waited patiently for ages to get this shot. Eventually there was a gap in the cars and I got the capture.

I saw the film today. It's an excellent, highly well crafted film that holds your attention all the way through. It is one of the very best movies that I've seen in a long time, and what a powerful message it sends about child abuse. I heard that some people are criticizing the film. Anyone who criticizes this movie either doesn't have a heart or supports pedophilia.

Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?
Blue, blue, electric blue
That's the colour of my room
Where I will live
Blue, blue
Pale blinds drawn all day
Nothing to do, nothing to say
Blue, blue
I will sit right down
Waiting for the gift of sound and vision
And I will sing
Waiting for the gift of sound and vision
Drifting into my solitude
Over my head
Don't you wonder sometimes
About sound and vision?
