So peaceful. So serene. So very awake. But then you'd expect that when I'm both model and photographer.
I was asked many months ago, at the start of this 365 Project, why I chose to take 365 photos of myself. At the time, I gave the standard answer that over the course of the year, I was likely to be the only constant model to hand. I was not shooting self-portraits so much as I was shooting portraits that happened to have me in them.
It is certainly true that many of the images in this series could have been shot with another model and still communicate the same themes, explore the same ideas. In other words, they were not self-portraits - portraits of my self. I don't feel that this is to be seen as a negative just the reality of undertaking a long term project like this.
For any of those in the midst of their own 365 projects, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

The first time i have seen Phill hold his baby son, he is soothing him by reproducing the sounds he would have heard only yesterday, in the womb. Amazingly (to us old fogies) it works. He's a natural.
