Sorry I was a very late arrival yesterday but I was being entertained etc at WWC by Sue & Lucinda, nudge nudge know what I mean Dave.
It was the best day of the week as the Voles were heaven blessed with horizon to horizon sunshine and rumour has it even a butterfly risked the January day.
It was evident when I arrived that you had been very busy all morning on your hands & knees sawing & loppering down a vast pile of Broom (Cytisus scoparius) while deputy fire bug Malcolm had kept his home fire burning in admirable fashion, as well as modelling the new Vole headgear (only £3.50 a pop) and feeding the Voles with buns and an amazing fruit cake.
We had the usual palaver making safe all the the bowsaws and loppers but the big crisis this time was 3 missing raks Even this was solved amicably when the boundary team returned to our fold.
Wild life was mostly avian, Nuthatch, Woodpeckers and a dormouse nest.
