Earlier this week (7/27) I photographed Comet Garradd (C/2009 P1) as it approached the inner solar system - 2.5 A.U. (between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter). The image shows that it is starting to "grow" a tail as it approaches the sun. Telescope:0.5 meter f/6.8 Corrected Dall-Kirkham with a SBIG STX KAF-9000 CCD Camera (LRGB 120s each).

Half way between Mars and Jupiter. On the street that happens to be at the speed bump

Notice the landmarks. The water in the distance seems to be getting closer as I use the zoom lens.

This is a 4.5 kilowatt ground-mount photovoltaic system installed at the Robert A. Koehn residence in Glenn, Ca. The system features a ProSolar GroundTrac racking system, an array of 20 Sharp ND-224U1F solar panels, and an SMA America "SunnyBoy" 5000-US inverter. We also installed a Sunny Beam bluetooth wireless device so that the system could be monitored from inside the house.
