Sunrise from the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area in the Monongahela National Forest, just a little south of the very popular Bear Rocks Preserve. With sustained winds easily at 30+mph, my good friend Todd Williams and I had to use this boulder field as our foreground due to all the blowing trees, shrubs and grasses.
Thanks so much for taking a look, and have a great day!
Today's sphere is out living life in the real world. It's watched one too many episodes of Rick and Morty and has decided to go on an inter-dimensional trip of it's own. It has chosen our world. Quite why it is examining a moss covered wall is anyone's guess. What Black Sphere 004 will make of it would also be well beyond our range of reckoning. Perhaps it will declare war. Perhaps it will stop for a picnic. Only time will tell...
Cheers

I have a new favorite place to visit in West Virginia and it is here, Dolly Sods. The colors are popping like crazy in this area, which is why I was shooting out in the middle of the day.. with this these colors could be blown away tomorrow. :-)~
This was a reconnaissance trip of sorts up here today so I could get an idea of where I want to shoot a sunrise from next weekend. :-)
Thanks for looking!

Historic buildings on waterfront.
It's impossible not to be captivated by the timeless beauty of Söder Mälarstrand. The enchanting cityscape is adorned with majestic towers, charming brick buildings, and a picturesque dock.
Söder Mälarstrand is a 2,2-kilometer long promenade with a quay in the Södermalm district. Along the street, there are some beautiful old buildings.
Another celebrity Shed and another full dull forecast.
Except it didn't work out that way.
With large logo 66789 working a Hunslet Tilcon - Mossend hopper rake up the S&C I decided to do it on my rest day. Having nailed on dull conditions meant that I could go wrong side and do this shot at Duncowfold and include the lineside bothy as there was no chance of any sun.
WRONG!

In Inghilterra è conosciuta come finocchio marino.
