The station is one that I build quite a few years ago now, but reworked slightly and added a much longer platform to. Crossing gates built by Andrew McPherson.
I enjoyed setting myself challenges with this layout and tried to create a diverse range of builds that still tied in with or payed homage to the buildings in the Thomas and Friends world.
The Church was a blast with some techniques I'd not tried before. The roof is delightful, the stain glass window turned out just as I'd hoped and I felt it added a nice bit of colour to the layout.

South field of the Bostwick Sod Farm located just outside of town on GA 83 and Gilbert Road. This used to be a cotton field but with all the new subdivisions springing up in the rural counties, sod farming is more lucrative.
This sod field lies adjacent to the cotton field where I waited patiently for the right light and calmer winds. On my way back to the car, this cloud actually produced a few drops of rain. You can see one in the bottom left corner.
I liked how the watering boom, as if begging for help, reached out to the cloud holding the water that is so desperately needed in Georgia right now.

_ABV3791 - Well today was set up to be working through accounts, preparing tax returns and all that stuff your meant to do to pay for the things we don't notice. Em, like roads without potholes, Street lights, National Health service and so much more.
But as it was the first sunny day since Chrsitmas and I was at home, the accounts can wait until tomorrow.
A view along Brook bay shoreline towards Freshwater, with the Hanover marker peaking above the waves. What a wonderful day, great fun just me and the camera and quite a bit of beach to play with.
Compton Bay voted in April as one of Britain’s top 15 beaches by Rough Guide’s Top 15 best UK beaches, now has another accolade being voted in the top 50 world beaches by the Sunday Times travel magazine.
Compton Bay lays on the south west of the Isle of Wight with waves from the English Channel pounding on the sand churning up milky froth and spitting salty spray up into your face. From the cliff tops you can watch surfer dudes do their thing or just view Freshwater and Tennyson down in the distance as the island curves around this area of outstanding beauty into the needles. The two mile stretch of coast is a great place for fossil hunting and paragliding.
The beach and cliffs in the changing light of the day provides a spectacular geological showcase of changing colours.

With Voyager 221134 waiting the road into Cheltenham on 1S45 Penzance to Aberdeen, 56078 leading and 56302 at rear decided to pass each other at the same time. The 56's were on their way back to Gloucester with 3S34 1025 from Ledbury after their regular overnight turn to Worcester, Swindon and Didcot. 27th October 2016.
