As I walked through my meadow of daffodils this morning (I was isolated as its private land) I noticed this 'social distancing' Daffodil away from the other large areas of blooming daffodils, she and I stood there alone and as I listened to the birds singing and took in her simple beauty I tried to remember that she's still blooming and surviving even alone and so will we, its going to be hard but with care and consideration for others we can do this, keep sane, keep safe ~ KissThePixel2020
Fence Friday
The park was pretty empty when we visited today. It was nice to be able to take a photo of the overlook without anyone there. It t was nice to get out, I love nature and need to be in it from time to time, so it was a welcome relief from being inside so much.

I think I picked these marbles up in Spain. They have obviously lost themselves due to the relaxation of the social distancing rules!!

Kenny takes the #socialdistancing very carefully and sleeps the whole time :D Well, not that he wouldn't do it otherwise, but by now he seems to enjoy it even more - despite the constant presence of us can openers in his apartment: 3
Social distancing.
I had a morning walk far away from anyone. Didn't met a single person. With a warm early spring sun it was as if all was mine.
:-)
Stay safe and healthy and if you get ill, may you stay strong and get well soon.

A good example of three pedestrians practicing social distancing in public
Wonderful to see the double flowering plum trees coming into bloom, if even only from a distance :-))
Stay safe and healthy.

Day 5 — Stay Home, Stay Healthy!
The ruby-crowned kinglets have been daily visitors for a few weeks now, but I struggle to get a shot of the ruby crown. Another in the series of things I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t been home for the coronavirus quarantine.
A single magnolia blossom, in perfect bloom. I went to the New York Botanical Garden to catch some hint of spring this beautiful Sunday afternoon, while still maintaining "social distance" in the outdoor gardens. The greenhouse and Orchid Show were closed, which made sense, and the gardens were blissfully peaceful. I just felt that I had to go there today. Tonight I learned that they, too, closed their gates indefinitely as of 6 P.M., along with the NYC schools, museums, Broadway shows, and libraries, which includes my job. Nobody knows for how long, or what will come next. One photo a day. (75/366) New York Botanical Garden, the Bronx, NYC -- March 15, 2020
Day 4 — Stay Home, Stay Healthy!
Next up in the series of things I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t been home for the coronavirus quarantine is this western gray squirrel. Thought this might be appropriate for any of you that are getting squirrelly being at home now.

DEAR FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD,
Italy is RED ZONE in this moment for CORONAVIRUS
but this is a hard and terrible period all over the world;
my country is doing everything possible to fight this terrible war because it is the third country in the world for infections;
we hope that slowly everything will be back to normality but we have very severe restrictive rules to follow in our daily life...
and perhaps others will be taken if necessary...
This is a terrible war because our enemy is behind everybody so, PLEASE, follow the following rules:
- STAY AT HOME AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
- NO CROWDED PLACES
- NO KISSES
- NO HUGS
- NO HAND SHAKES
- STAY AT LEAST 130 CM FAR EACH OTHER
- WASH FREQUENTLY YOUR HANDS, FACE AND EYES
- USE TISSUES TO PREVENT INFECTION
ONLY IN THIS WAY WE CAN PREVENT THE INFECTION AND WIN THIS TERRIBLE WAR WHICH IS GOING THROUGH ALL OVER THE WORLD...
Your Friend from Italy
Elisabetta

New Brighton Beach.
These young ladies were practicing social distancing two weeks before it came into force in the UK; did they know something the rest of us didn’t know?
At least these boys were obeying the rules, for now at least.
Seen in St. Peter’s Square, Manchester.
A wonderful meeting with my the other day. Hadn’t seen her for over four months - it was so good to see her again. I talked to her on speaker phone and had the same message written on the other side. Even through the dementia cloud, there was a recognition. I think the photo shows this.
Thank you to the staff at Dykeland for making this possible.
