There she was just a-walkin' down the street

Singin', "Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do"

Snappin' her fingers and shufflin' her feet

Singin', "Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do"

She looked good (looked good)

She looked fine (looked fine)

She looked good, she looked fine

And I nearly lost my mind

i am the most guilty for this. there are some things my mind chooses not to hear, and triggers the "memory" part of my brain to remember the things i love. its a terrible habit. and i get yelled at because of this :] haha.

i found that some of my images were stolen on some polycore weird website. this makes me sad :[

Rolling Challenge... For this one I got challenged by Michael Heffernan www.flickr.com/photos/mikieh/ the following

"I challenge you to do a still life, but no flowers or fruit allowed.

I'm new to this so hope it's ok.

Happy snappin'............

Had to think for this one again.... Thanks Michael

Well, not exactly. After the Military Color Guard rounds the field, the pipe and drum corps from the combined bands lead the Parade of Tartans at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The tune is Scotland the Brave, an unofficial anthem to Scotland, to spur on the many Scottish clans on the march behind them. Did you know that bagpipes are considered as instruments of war? The shrill of bagpipes struck terror in the hearts of the enemy, or so many Scottish combatants thought. During the Battle of Culloden (a Jacobite rising against the British government), Scottish pipers marched into battle bravely inspiring the troops. Soon, every battle had its line of pipers, to the point that the Highland Regiment wouldn’t go to battle without pipe music. As I stated on my last post of the games (from my perspective of not being Scottish), “My DNA can tolerate bagpipes for only so long, but to be honest, when upwards of 100 pipers are all dialed in at once, it is beyond impressive.” These folks would be an extraordinary line at any battle. Just so, I can understand why they march as they play… so they can get away from the noise. Ha!

I spent Saturday in NYC at the big Flickr Meetup. It was so much fun to see old friends and to make new ones. It was a gorgeous day full of shooting, laughs...and beer ;)

This is my entry for #AdamsPhotoChallenge, the Halloween edition, taking place at ***Southern Roots***. The whole sim has been flipped and redecorated for Halloween, and boy oh boy is it beautiful! Picking a spot was tough because you provided so many possible areas to take just about any kind of photo we wanted & could dream up in theme with our imaginations! But as soon as I saw this sign and the view I thought that it was the perfect spot for a photo!

***Southern Roots*** is also part of the SL Top Haunted Places Tour and Hunt, which I've been trying my hand at for a couple of days. There are so many neat prizes & this sim's prizes are no different---what *is* different, though, is that here, you are given a total of 10 clues and taken on a journey throughout the sim, a proper mini-hunt! It is both challenging and fun & SO well done! I encourage you to give it a go as well!

Thank you, once again, Adam & Kristi for creating a breathtaking environment filled with so many potential photo ops & hosting some of the most fun challenges/contests I've ever taken part in! You guys are the best!

This contest runs through October 21st, so if you want to take part, visit ***Southern Roots*** and get snappin'!

In Tacoma, WA while walkin', talkin' and snappin' with the sublime Jessiqua.

Since our many camera walks and drives over the past seven years have taken us to the same places - the landscapes and abandoned structures of southwest deserts, Calgary, Seattle, neon in Las Vegas, salvage yards, Thailand, etc. , the amazing Jessiqua and I have talked about possibly putting on a show where our different approaches to the same subject matter (as in this case) might make for an interesting show. I hope we still have a chance to do that.

Was up in Aoyama yesterday with a student. Crazy crowds there taking pics of the ginko trees but this bench qwas empty and whilst all the locals were brushing the leaves off the benches to sit down, I was snappin them. Got some funny looks... the sort of 'whats so interesting about a bench' as all of the locals were shooting the big picture and each other under the trees.

As one of my fave pics by Ernst Haas is that of a solitary momiji leaf on a bench in Kyoto, I coult help thinking of him when I shot this.

First night in HI I went down to the beach area and started snappin pics. Since the fam hit the hay (and the rest of the area was full of sleepy retirees) if I wanted a shot with someone breathing in it, it was all on me. So as per usual when I try self portraits I ended up looking like a total baffoon for about 30 min while I played "Beat the 10 second timer"

This time it was especially challenging since I was running around in flip flops on razor sharp lava rock. I'd awkwardly/frantically jump and climb for 9.5 seconds and then in the last half I'd freeze in whatever super uncomfortable position I landed in. Pretty much a total blast through and through!

I thought I'd have a go at cutting a really tiny stencil..... But the little fella got taken by the wind when I was snappin this pic. So if you're in London in the Kingsland Road area today you might find it.......... unlikely though; It's pretty fucking small. hahaha : (

Bruce Springsteen - "My Father's house"

“Last night I dreamed that I was a child

out where the pines grow wild and tall

I was trying to make it home

through the forest before the darkness falls

I heard the wind rustling through the trees

and ghostly voices rose from the fields

I ran with my heart pounding down that broken path

With the devil snappin’ at my heels

I broke through the trees, and there in the night

My father’s house stood shining hard and bright

the branches and brambles tore my clothes and scratched my arms

But I ran till I fell, shaking in his arms

I awoke and I imagined the hard things that pulled us apart

Will never again, sir, tear us from each other’s hearts

I got dressed, and to that house

I did ride from out on the road

I could see its windows shining in light

I walked up the steps and stood on the porch

a woman I didn’t recognize came

and spoke to me through a chained door

I told her my story, and who I’d come for

She said “I’m sorry, son, but no one

by that name lives here anymore”

My father’s house shines hard and bright

it stands like a beacon calling me in the night

Calling and calling, so cold and alone

Shining ‘cross this dark highway

where our sins lie unatoned”.

5Pointz Rooftop, Queens, NewYork, me and TRANS1 banged this wall out in a shade over 3hours, we couldn't get up on the roof until 4pm....

Time was the killa for us over there, I dont think we actually started a wall before 1:30pm on any of the days..

I cant begin to explain the location here, about 20metres behind me is the elevated no7. line coming from TimesSquare, it runs around the back and side of this building giving you clear views of this wall for about 30 seconds, the amount of people who will see this is ridiculous, MERES kindly gave us the primest spot @ 5Ptz as promised, respect due ma man, it means the world... !!

Peep the Empire State in the BG too... money shot business.

YO KINGBEE !! Thanks for popping up to see us here, humbling bro, respects.

Gotta also say a massive thanks to STEAM156... knowledge, contacts link, and HOF tourguide.... we wouldn't have seen half the shit, or met a fraction of the people with out you ma man, thanks a million... i owe you a curry mate ;)

Also word to DUSTY, thanks for braving the rooftop and snappin away for us, much respects sir..

This was entirely experimental, I was simply experimenting.

We lit the coal fire in my house for the first time this year - its really winter now I guess.

I just started snappin - adjusting the ISO and shutter speed, and this is what I ended up with.

HQ for facebook ^_^

"Cloe's all about rockin' wild animal prints with some serious sparkle, so naturally she couldn't resist buying a HOT new pair of leopard-skinned boots from Dana (using the BFF discount of course)! Angel's put together a sizzlin' safari-inspired ensemble to match her funky-fresh footwear so she can step out in style wherever she goes. Today's Angel-agenda includes snappin' pix all over Stilesville, lunch with Penn, then shopping with the girlz! Hooray for Spring Break!"

Sheeyat, all that time spent making boots for one photo? Gurl please, I had to make an outfit for Cloe with them too ;)

It was so difficult taking these photos though cuz there are ants all over the yard since it's nice out again, plus every time I was able to get close enough for a good shot, my shadow had consumed the whole thing :P So I think this is decent ^_^

Fifties Fair, Rose Seidler House, Wahroonga, Sydney, Australia (Sunday 21 August 2016)

I had a true New York exchange taking this one...usually theres a storm fence blocking all this from average-height view. This day, the gate was open...and I poised myself to capture the glyphs appropriately. Before I can even focus, a giant snowplow death truck turns to enter, the driver's window comes down, and I hear "Ayyyyyyyy! Tryin' to getta truck thru hearuh!", to which I instinctively reply without taking my eye off the viewfinder "AYYYYYYYY!!!!! SNAPPIN' A PEEKTURE HEARUH!". Beautiful, just beautiful.

Fog always makes such great pictures! I was out on a foggy morning a couple weeks ago and I was snappin like crazy. This fence really caught my eye and I took several shots from different angles. This one stood out among the rest. This was taken somewhere south of Ursa, Illinois.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Just out and snappin during magic hour.

My doggie girlfriend has started Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy now. Physio is at Wellington at the middle of the day - about 2 hours taken up there. Hydro is at Pedwell (so near to Greylake) this also takes up a couple of hours, so I'm missing out on me snappin' with the days being so short. You'll have to put up with a few repeats in the meantime. :+)))

Madman drummers bummers and Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat

In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat

With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin' kinda older I tripped the merry-go-round

With this very unpleasing sneezing and wheezing the calliope crashed to the ground

Some all-hot half-shot was headin' for a hot spot snappin' his fingers clappin' his hands

And some fleshpot mascot was tied into a lover's knot with a whatnot in her hand

And now young Scott with a slingshot finally found a tender spot and throws his lover in the sand

And some bloodshot forget-me-not whispers, "Daddy's within earshot, save the buckshot, turn up the band"

And she was blinded by the light

Oh, cut loose like a deuce another runner in the night

Blinded by the light

She got down but she never got tight, but she'll make it alright

Some brimstone baritone anti-cyclone rolling stone preacher from the east

He says, "Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in its funny bone, that's where they expect it least"

And some new-mown chaperone was standin' in the corner all alone watchin' the young girls dance

And some fresh-sown moonstone was messin' with his frozen zone to remind him of the feeling of romance

Yeah, he was blinded by the light

Oh, cut loose like a deuce another runner in the night

Blinded by the light

He got down but he never got tight, but he's gonna make it tonight

Some silicone sister with her manager's mister told me I got what it takes

She said, "I'll turn you on sonny, to something strong if you'll play that song with the funky break"

And Go-cart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart to see if it was safe to go outside

And little Early-Pearly came by in her curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride

Oh, some hazard from Harvard was skunked on beer playin' backyard bombardier

Yes and Scotland Yard was trying hard, they sent a dude with a calling card who said, "Do what you like, but don't do it here"

Well, I jumped up, turned around, spit in the air, fell on the ground

Asked him which was the way back home

He said, "Take a right at the light, keep goin' straight until night, and then, boys, you're on your own"

And now in Zanzibar a shootin' star was ridin' in a side car hummin' a lunar tune

Yes, and the avatar said, "Blow the bar but first remove the cookie jar we're gonna teach those boys to laugh too soon"

And some kidnapped handicap was complainin' that he caught the clap from some mousetrap he bought last night

Well I unsnapped his skull cap, between his ears I saw a gap and figured he'd be all right

He was just blinded by the light

Cut loose like a deuce another runner in the night

Blinded by the light

Mama always told me not to look into the sights of the sun

Whoa, but mama that's where the fun is

Ooh, yeah

(I was blinded) Oh my my, oh my my

(I was blinded) Oh my my

(I was blinded) I was blinded by the light

(I was blinded) I was blinded by the light

(I was blinded) I was blinded by the light

(I was blinded) I was blinded by the light

(I was blinded) I was blinded

(I was blinded)

(I was blinded)

I dedicate this shot to Starlisa. Without her this shot wouldn't have been taken. I forgot my memory at home and she loaned me her extra one. Thanks Starlisa. :)

I had a nice evening at Trillium tonight. I met even more of my Flickr friends there tonight. I saw Starlisa, who I've been looking forward to meeting for quite some time, I met SarahMcD ॐ and her girls, Sarah's another person that I was so glad to be able to meet. I also met mm767cap and his friend Mike. We had a grand ol' time swattin' bugs and snappin pics. :) Thanks for the great evening folks. :)
