I think today is the last day Zoe will be working on penguins at school. I wish I had gotten a picture of her diorama before we took it in - it was pretty sweet!
This two year old Cheetah had just run 200+ mtrs chasing a lure. She was not even puffed as she settled down to a fresh deer leg. There was only the skin and bones left afterwards and those were finished off by a Marabou Stork. Fortunately she stopped just in front of my seat ! The Pheasant wing lure is in the background.
In this shot Ozzy is returning to his den for a much needed break from the rigors of family life and a snack of fish. Harriett, it seems, keeps him quite busy fetching fish from the market and bringing them up to the nest to feed the always hungry Shilo. It seems that married life is the same no matter the species, the women constantly demanding, we poor men working non stop to feed and house them. Poor Ozzy, he would fly off and be gone for a half hour or so then return with a fish to the nest. He would sit and chat with Harriett and Shilo for a bit about osprey stuff I guess, how busy the fish market is, what those two fools on the ground with those strange contraptions that are pointed at them are doing, you know stuff like that and then he'd be off again back to the fish market.

This snack will forever remind me of Stephanie who expresses such profound disgust for the little slimy pepperoni slices. I think they're delicious.
Back in November I put some corn out and one of the squirrels that runs around found it and was happily snacking away. This was a cat scratcher that was made out of limbs and wood that my friend made. I had it on the porch and decided to put it in the yard.
This year, Dent Depot has gone a step further and shows us Santa being devoured by the Abominable Snowman.
