it's a concept car designed by Ford, but i prefer to think it's a Mercury. it looks so smooth, elegant, and sexy. style is cool just like late '40s.

I'm terrible at ping pong, so I'm always amazed at the play during the Olympics. Ping pong ball and two paddles showing different sides of the paddles offering a smooth or textured surface. Taken for the Macro Mondays group theme of "Summer Olympics".

A good catch and I would have stayed longer but at this point my camera died; apparently I had run the battery down while using the bulb setting to clean its sensor that morning. Oh well, at least I know that it works!

Photographed at Eno River State Park, near Durham, NC. This is basically a proof of concept. It's the first time I've been able to get one of these shots with reasonable results. I'm not a fan of the 'smoothed water' genre, but I can appreciate that these photographs are more tricky than one might think.
A smooth green snake (Opheodrys vernalis) found in Ontario, Canada. These small snakes feed on smooth caterpillars and other insects.

For me, my photography has allowed me to hold to part of my sanity.
My viewfinder grants me a brief reprieve from the reality of caring for my brother, Kirk, who is battling Cancer; and from the fear I feel.
My camera gives me a world void of my pain for a brief moment.
Please, (and I know I ask alot) but please continue in prayer for my brother to live.
I cannot imagine any desire of a life without him in it. He is my BIG brother. He has always been there.

Some people say that when a butterfly lands on you, it means good luck. Hope this turns out to be true for this gentleman, who happened to provide a smooth landing pad for this bright, tropical butterfly : ) Photographed at the Calgary Zoo on September 30th.
I took this photo of a sailing ship in Cleveland when the tall ships visited several years ago.
I used a texture by Jerry Jones called Painterly Effect.
In this week, for my 52 Project, I decided to upload these two keyboard capture because today I just finished to read and understand the iOS dev learning book, and then I used this keyboard all the week and all the month, but now I'm so glad that I became an iOS Developer!!!
Now there are a lot of work in my future days that I should will do, I'd like to develop an application that until today it lived just in my mind!
More news are coming this or the next year, stay tuned, I'm so excited!
