Since I haven't cropped any of my past 5 shots (and all were taken at the same focal length), you can really see how small this guy is, compared with the other insects. ISO 320 f/22 1/125sec
There is a defiant contrast between the white flowers and the drab background. It's like they're standing defiant, even though they're very small, especially when compared to the trees towering over them. But the trees haven't leafed out yet, so this is their time to shine.

For Small Business Saturday we visited our local Bricks & Minifigs for their Block Friday sale. Part of the fun is never knowing what you might find and today was no exception. I picked up some minifigs including the custom ones you see here. They represent troopers from Grand Admiral Thrawn’s army (and I have a custom Thrawn minifig on its way from the UK).
Remember the little things of childhood? All we need to do is reawake that child present in everyone of us :-)
