Sometimes I just enjoy capturing the smaller details like Michael's ring catching the sun as he holds Bells <3
Another shot of a small fly on a tansy leaf in the garden, possibly one of the minettia fasciata species group, on day 19 of 30 Days Wild.
Though dry, it was a fairly overcast day near the east coast. One butterfly seen in reasonable numbers was the small skipper.
This was easily the most common species seen at this location, and often on these flowers. I do not know what the flower is but there were many growing wild at the edge of the beach.

I am starting a new retro small town Americana series with my iphone.
Now that is mixing old and new...lol
Just doing some experiments. Looking for the little things, like the makings of gravity or the secrets of life. I may have found them already, I'm just too lazy to crunch the numbers.
Small Skipper - Thymelicus sylvestris. Flower is Selfheal - Prunella vulgaris.Clock Face Country Park, St.Helens, Merseyside.
helsinki is really garden-city-like. it has so many parts of the city that looks more like tourist resort rather than common cityscape. this is one example of this.
you can say this is a city, actually it is, but it you can consider this is a kind of country side... it looks like so.....
A small set of falls on the path out to Akaka Falls just north of Hilo on the Hamakua Coast (Big Island) Hawaii.
