The Korean Demilitarized Zone (Korean: 한반도 비무장지대) is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half, crossing the 38th parallel on an angle, with the west end of the DMZ lying south of the parallel and the east end lying north of it. It is 155 miles (248 km) long and approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, and is the most heavily militarized border in the world.
For over fifty years the areas surrounding the DMZ have been restricted to the general public. As a result, they have become a wildlife preserve containing incredible bio-diversity. The DMZ and its surrounding areas are now referred to as the Peace and Life Zone (PLZ), and a special tour course has been designed taking travelers to destinations of historical interest and outstanding natural beauty.

This was shot with the new Panasonic DMC-GH4 in 1920x1080 at 96 frames per second. When played back normally at the cinema rate of 24 FPS, it's one quarter speed slow motion. This is straight from the camera with no editing at all. Note: there is NO audio.
A very small experimentation with the DJI osmo's slow motion function in a semi-low light environment. Shot in D-Log with minimal colour correction.

With heavy snow falling, my Border Collies were restless so I decided to play catch with them. Pretty funny in slow motion.
I took this photo on the same day that I shot Offering to Orion -- but obviously when there was a little more light, and when it was pissing down. You should look at this one larger; it's cooler, like.

The Kumsusan Memorial Palace, aka the Kim Il-sung Mausoleum, is a building located in Pyongyang. The palace is the former official residence and office of North Korea's president and founder, Kim Il-sung. Following Kim Il-sung's death in 1994, his son and successor, Kim Jong-il, had the building transformed into his father's final resting place. Inside the palace, Kim Il Sung's embalmed body lies viewable inside a clear crystal sarcophagus.

Just a couple of fun Feb. 2022 photos and short slow motion movies of Ring Billed Gulls flying in a snow storm as they circle above Devola Ohio Lock and dam #2. The spillway judging from the number of gulls present must be an excellent place to spot and catch small shad fish in the river. I did also see a few Eagles there as well but unfortunately didn't get pics of any flying in the snow
