Cravings... Food is a national past time for Singaporeans. I haven't figured out what they're queuing for but i hope it's worth the wait!

taken with the "silky water" mode of the mate 9. no post processing

I used a slave at one side of the bathtub and my camera at the other. I had the water coming out mildly and I took the photo at a rather high speed with a flash.

The Korean Demilitarized Zone (Korean: 한반도 비무장지대) is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half, crossing the 38th parallel on an angle, with the west end of the DMZ lying south of the parallel and the east end lying north of it. It is 155 miles (248 km) long and approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, and is the most heavily militarized border in the world.

For over fifty years the areas surrounding the DMZ have been restricted to the general public. As a result, they have become a wildlife preserve containing incredible bio-diversity. The DMZ and its surrounding areas are now referred to as the Peace and Life Zone (PLZ), and a special tour course has been designed taking travelers to destinations of historical interest and outstanding natural beauty.

Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera), grows by the river side. The bees like it, but it is considered to be an invasive species.

This helicopter flew over and around my small town today, a rather unusual occurrence around here.

Trying out Canon Elph 300 HS slow motion mode. When Canon can do this with full HD, That will really be something. However the resolution is noticable low.

However that being said I did happen to have the camera in my cargo pocket at the time allowing me to have quick access to a camera.

I loved the effect of the ivy flower in the background, caught in movement - quite surreal.... Not sure I'd 'managed' to capture something like that before!!

Unfortunately, flickr limits videos to one and a half minutes which cut off the better parts of this video, like the soap spraying, rinsing and the spinning brushes. Hand held Panasonic FZ100 camera.

The Mansudae Grand Monument was erected in April, 1972 to commemorate the 60th birthday of Kim Il Sung. It is located on Mansu Hill in front of the Korean Revolutionary Museum and the huge mosaic of Mt. Paektu.

The bronze statue is 66 ft. / 20 m. high and looks out over Pyongyang below. On either side of his statue are giant stone replicas of the Korean flag and the Workers Party of Korea flag. On either side of these flags are over 200 almost life-size bronze statues of various military and civilian figures in heroic poses.

A visit to the Grand Monument is a must for all tourists and usually involves the laying of a bouquet of flowers. North Koreans usually come to the monument in groups.

Bees checking out our bee and bug hotel. To the right we have a Pyracantha which will soon be in flower, this gets covered in insects and just out of shot a Flowering Cherry ( Prunus amanogawa) bees love this too.
