Today we had our first snow. For the most part it was too warm to stick but it did snow hard enough twice during the day to turn the ground whiteAt my home near Marietta Ohio. This gave me a great chance to photograph some of the backyard birds in the snow. The extra chill also makes them plump their feathers for warmth giving many of them that cool puff ball appearance. Finally there is just something magic about a red Cardinal framed against a white snowy background. If you had snow in your area today Happy First Snowfall.
