Slim - a gift from Santa to Jack (age 7)

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Jack's pet snake,
Slim (formerly, Slider and Slimey). Slim slipped away from us (pun
intended) last night after being unable to keep any mice down for
several weeks. Jack is sad. Ellie is mad. Chris and I are sad
too... mostly for Jack. We had a brief ceremony with the neighborhood
kids, where we made "headstones" and buried Slim under the new deck
outside the master bedroom. Rest In Peace Slim.
