38/100: 100 x challenge - Flowers

38/100: 100 Flowers 2020

This is from the same bouquet of flowers that I used for the multiple exposure I did last week. I took several different shots and keep coming back to this one, it might not be everyone's cup of tea but I quite like the abstractness. I thought I had done a bit of ICM with this one but the front bud seems too in focus so maybe not.

I did some slidey faffery with it as it's Sunday. HSS

Spring is finally here! Let's all celebrate with a lovely vase of tulips!

... into that good night.

Old age should burn and rage at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Some relatively subtle processing this time ...

was rewarded with this capture, but it was a calculated WHISK.

Lots of time these days, so I'm channeling my inner-child & playing in the paintbox, attempting an artsy flair this Sunday morning : )

HSS - wishing you a colorful week & stay safe friends ♡

Captured for Sliders Sunday. I paint poured these pumpkins, photographed them, then processed the photo using Deep Dream Generator and Snapseed. Background is my desaturated dropcloth. HSS everyone!

GR III #3: "GR" for GReen ;-) Another one from the (masked) family walk around one of Berlin's most beautiful lakes, the Krumme Lanke. Some lush green, before I'll continue with new architecture from Berlin's inner city (the "cube berlin") next week. I hope this isn't too

vivid and colourful, I know that on some monitors, and especially smartphone or tablet screens, this will probably look much brighter and very vivid, but on my monitor it's just right (yes, I know there are devices / methods for monitor / colour calibration, but... and it's also for Sliders Sunday, so...). Regarding the sliders, I HRDified this in Aurora HDR, tweaked the "Orton Clean" Glow filter in ON1 to my liking, and also tweaked the colours. As I'd mentioned in my description for my previous picture, I must have used "Highlight Weighted Metering" for all the photos I took on that walk, because the bright, sunny and cloudless sky was never blown out, and all the shadows and dark tones were way too dark, but as usual it's always easier to brighten the shadows and dark tones in post, and I was pleasantly surprised at the remarkably clean details and bright tones I was able to get out of the dark areas of the GR III's RAW files.

Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone, stay safe, stay healthy :-)

I took some photos at the Library in Trumansburg, NY. There was a pot full of flowers sitting on the wall at the back of the library.

I was in another shed yesterday, fixing the door, and noticed how nicely the light came through these two dusty glass containers. I slid the sliders around on the RGB (Red Green & Blue) levels, added contrast, tone map high and definition. I also slid the shadow, blacks and whites and clarity sliders. An image well and truly slid!

The region around St. George, Utah was the fastest-growing metro area in the nation for two years running, reports Bill Weir for CNN. But with Southwestern reservoirs, mainly supplied by the Colorado River, at historic lows, local officials warn that the future of the region is in peril.

We've been having lots of clouds and sunshine, but no rain and we need it. I took this photo just as the sun came out from behind some big fluffy white clouds.

Beautiful feathers…

Have a beautiful Sunday, everyone! 😊
