Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
Let's hope you are able to suggest a better title!
This is my second attempt at a Sliders Sunday image for today. The first Bright Idea was an abject failure (again).
Take Two...
This is a picture I took 18 months ago on my phone in a garden centre, somewhere in eastern England. I've come to learn garden centres are good places to take flower pictures because they generally stock plants when they are blooming.
It's a noisy jpeg, sadly, as I was just messing about at the time (the rest of the family were wandering about in deep discussion and making decisions about which plants to buy - though I couldn't help but feel that it may have been quicker and cheaper in the end just to buy the whole nursery.
The weird colours were generated by copying layers and using esoteric blend modes and strange filters and even blend ranges!
Then the final version was merged as a separate layer, enlarged and blurred with Gaussian ...er... blur, and blended back with the chanting of many arcane incantations, stirrings of effervescing cauldrons and the inhalation of strange smokes...
I'll post a link to the in-camera original in the first comment so that you can lament it's downward path ever since...
Thank you for looking. I hope you enjoy the abstract weirdness. Happy Sliders Sunday :)
This is the Russ Hinze Dam in the mountains behind the Gold Coast. The flooded dead eucalyptus trunks look quite skeletal.

Taken on a lovely day out at Arne Nature Reserve in Dorset. There are loads of wild Sika deer there and I just noticed a crow sitting on the back of a deer. I literally had seconds to try and get a shot so not quite perfectly composed between the trees! Lots of editing to crop the image and darken the silhouettes - HSS!
Shooting into the glaring sun, Lake Superior shows a different mood.... having a little fun editing on Sliders Sunday.
My husband and I drove by this beautiful field of Blue Flax and asked the owner for permission to photograph the field. He was happy to consent. I went back the following day because I didn’t quite get the shots I wanted. Another member of the family came out to where I was shooting and was not very happy with me. I told them I had gotten permission the day before and described the person with whom I had previously spoken. All was well but I learned how people had been very disrespectful doing portraits there, traipsing in the field, destroying plants all without getting permission. This person asked me not to post anything on Social Medial for a few weeks when the crop was no longer in bloom so as not to attract any more visitors to their property. I gratefully obeyed. As a gesture of gratitude, I will be delivering them a printed copy. Happy Slider Sunday!
"Your room is ready ..." is a Photoshop/iPad creation that started out it's life as an abstract/complex pattern for Slider Sunday (you can still see some of the pattern in the background), but ended up here.
Happy Sliders Sunday!
This plant grows abundantly around our cabin and undergoes many alterations from early spring until late in the fall. In this photo the leaves have yet to unfold - and yes, it is still snowing up here. HSS! Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead.

Last evening we had a fire in the backyard and did hotdogs and to top the evening off made a s’more. Yum.

The Alhambra boasts courtyards, ponds, fountains, irrigation ditches, canals, and other hydraulic structures of immense heritage and scenic value.
The ponds are of great scenic value, with algae, water lilies, and other aquatic species that support aquatic life.
Last week I had this in mind for my slide, but didn't have time to explore how to do it and anyway I got side-tracked. This week I decided to slide the hip-shot of the stranger in the mist more-or-less as I'd envisioned it - HSS!

was rewarded with this capture, but it was a calculated WHISK.
Macro image of a turkey wing style whisk which we purchased at the Granville Island Broom store, in Vancouver.
Captured for Sliders Sunday. I paint poured these pumpkins, photographed them, then processed the photo using Deep Dream Generator and Snapseed. Background is my desaturated dropcloth. HSS everyone!
