Shot on my first (self paid) camera, a Canon 500D around 11 years ago! HSS!

Careful, don't slide down into the hole. Low energy bulbs, handle with care. Screw in, so don't over tighten them.

Still very much summer here, hot and humid but I'm ready for the next season, autumn is my favourite time of year.

Spring is always to colourful.

...is what needs to happen to the cupola of this wonderful round clay tile crib to save it. The odds of that happening are probably about the same as it ever holding a bushel of corn again....

Have a great sliders Sunday all! I'm sitting in the field right now waiting for a load of corn as we try to get as much done before the 2-4" of snow we have predicted for tomorrow! The drama continues as early retirement looks more inviting with each passing day! LOL

This is a series of photographs documenting this fallow field. The goal is to find interesting compositions before it becomes a residential neighborhood.

This represents one week of trial and trash; in the end I think it worked out well. One image no layers no HDR or AI, just simple sliding.

Snowed briefly today and shed a nice light on these tree branches, however when I started to tone and sharpen something came over me and my contribution for this Sundays' Slider appeared. HSS!

This is my second attempt at a Sliders Sunday image for today. The first Bright Idea was an abject failure (again).

Take Two...

This is a picture I took 18 months ago on my phone in a garden centre, somewhere in eastern England. I've come to learn garden centres are good places to take flower pictures because they generally stock plants when they are blooming.

It's a noisy jpeg, sadly, as I was just messing about at the time (the rest of the family were wandering about in deep discussion and making decisions about which plants to buy - though I couldn't help but feel that it may have been quicker and cheaper in the end just to buy the whole nursery.

The weird colours were generated by copying layers and using esoteric blend modes and strange filters and even blend ranges!

Then the final version was merged as a separate layer, enlarged and blurred with Gaussian ...er... blur, and blended back with the chanting of many arcane incantations, stirrings of effervescing cauldrons and the inhalation of strange smokes...

I'll post a link to the in-camera original in the first comment so that you can lament it's downward path ever since...

Thank you for looking. I hope you enjoy the abstract weirdness. Happy Sliders Sunday :)

This is the Russ Hinze Dam in the mountains behind the Gold Coast. The flooded dead eucalyptus trunks look quite skeletal.
