We're getting to that inevitable slide into spring and there's more and more earth revealing itself from beneath the snow. At a local beach, some exposed sandy parts are being blown around by the wind and make for some interesting shapes and curves. Here I took some liberties with the sliders in LR to enhance those features a bit for "slider sunday."
An eastbound Conrail freight has just exited New Portage Tunnel and a helper of two CR EMD SD40s keeps the long train in check down “The Slide” at Tunnelhill, Pennsylvania, on October 23, 1988.

The weathercock atop the church tonight was positioned precisely to reflect the red sunset sky to the west and above was the waxing moon. This picture was created from the three photos. Der Wetterhahn auf der Kirche stand heute Abend genau so, dass er den roten Sonnenuntergangshimmel im Westen reflektiert hat und oben stand der zunehmende Mond. Aus den drei Fotos ist dieses Bild entstanden.

I was so Egg-cited to get eggs till I went to pay for them. A week ago I paid 2.99 a dozen and today 6.99 a dozen. 😳😳
Sliders Sunday.
The red-eared slider is native to the Midwestern United States and northern Mexico, but has become established in other places because of pet releases, and has become invasive in many areas where it outcompetes native species. The red-eared slider is included in the list of the world's 100 most invasive species.

So this was one of those fluke pictures taken during a friend's kid's birthday. But I like it a lot because it's like the progression of how to go down a slide (in case you didn't know)... Anywho, yeah, wasn't planned like that and almost got deleted but then I was like "Hmmm... what if I can't get the three babies to sit together for a picture, at least I'd have one with them all in it!" (uh, to explain the three babies would be Reese (Billy & mine), Brenden (Billy's BFF Brandon's) and Jovie (Billy and Brandon's other buddy's) -- they were all born within a 2 month span).
School starts tomorrow so I'll be trolling flickr like an 80s slasher flick villian during the day again...
