Looking like some Chinese calligraphy, if you ignore this warning symbol, you might get sliced and diced.
I really like my new texture plugin. I think I will call it Lilly Pilly, as I it grows just outside our glass door.
In Australia, there is a law that all full glass doors (such as sliding doors) must have an embossed sign on them to make them visible, in an effort to stop people walking or running through them, resulting in getting slashed to ribbons.
In this case, I have one sliding door partially opened in front of another, so there is the overlapping T symbols (the standard sign). I took it slightly off level, then rotated the image 90deg. The soft green texture is caused by the Lilly Pilly bushes in my garden behind the doors.

Abstract detail from the gates of Old Saint Martin's Church in the Cornmarket, Worcester. The modern art metal gates represent St Martin slicing his cloak in two to give clothing to a beggar - here I have 'cut' in on the detail for a textured abstract.

Grilled cheese:
Slice focaccia bread, spread with butter, and layer provolone. Grill for 3-4 minutes a side
For the soup:
2 (28 oz) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 red onion, diced
2 (14 oz) cans chicken broth
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1 Tbsp dried basil
1 tsp salt
6 oz. evaporated milk
Small handful fresh basil leaves, sliced thin
Add tomatoes, onion, broth and dried spices and salt to crock pot. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours.
Carefully use a ladle, scoop tomatoes and onions out of the pot (draining excess liquid back into the pot as you're doing this....the idea is to get most of the chunks out) and into a blender. Blender on high speed until smooth. Return blended tomato mixture to crock pot.
Slowly stir in evaporated milk until soup is a consistent color (add more or less milk based on your preferences).
Stir in basil leaves.
Turn crock pot down to "warm" until ready to serve.
Soup serves 10.
Per serving:

Grilled Cheese

So, just eat more soup than grilled cheese and you'll be ok! :)
Macro Mondays Theme: Crystal
I wasn't going to post this week as it's been a manic week and haven't had time: girls at home for half term, my brother had to have his 2nd open heart surgery in as many weeks (all very sudden), my teenaged niece was staying with us whilst her Dad was in hospital, my daughter breaking her fingertip whilst bowling and a busy weekend full of parties!!! However my eldest is off sick from school today, so am stuck at home hence took the opportunity to take a quick shot.
Many thanks for all your comments, favourites and views, always appreciated. HMM to you all!

A shot from Caister on Sea of one of the old WW2 lookout boxes that has sadly fallen into the sea. This area is well known for its rapid coastal erosion. The structure has been here for many years, its depth in the sand does change over the course of time. I was lucky with this image as the tide gave a nice curve as the water lapped round the subject. My youngest daughter on seeing the image thought it looked like a piece of cake - thus the title.
