A sleeping butterfly. I didn't see the inside of its wings to help identify what kind it is. Maybe a blue morpho?
On Christmas night my son and I went on another night hike to a new area we hadn't visited before on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica called La Tarde. I decided to use the same guide we had the night before since he said he knew the area. We got there a little later than I wanted to and everything was pretty wet but it was still warm outside. We hiked down a very steep trail to a stream. The first animal we found was another blunt-headed tree snake but I didn't get any good photos of it for some reason probably because I was in a hurry to find something new.
We didn't have a lot of time unfortunately because my guide had to meet the 10pm curfew and he thought that applied to us as well but I learned later that it did not which was kind of disappointing as we would have liked to have spent more time in this area considering it was a long drive and it was very nice habitat to explore.
We still managed to find around 9 species of reptiles and amphibians most of which we hadn't ever seen before so that was nice. I will post each one in Chronological order.
All photos were taken with the Olympus E-M1X and 12-100mm F4 lens with Olympus FL-900R flash and Godox dome diffuser. I decided this was much more versatile than mounting my 30mm or 60mm macro lenses. That came in handy too since a lot of the animals were pretty high up in trees or bushes or on the edge of steep drop-offs. It would have been even better to have mounted my 100-400 lens but I was trying to travel lighter than usual.
Yesterday, the UEFA-cup final between Sevilla from Spain and Middlesbrough was played in Eindhoven. The city was crowded.
Now I went to work this morning... loads of fans who missed the last train/bus were sleeping at the station.
This one was sleeping when rush hour just started. Hundreds of people walking past him... but he didn't notice a thing.
The Castle is home to a dragon, which at 27 metres (89 ft) from head to tail was the largest Animatronic figure ever built when the park opened in April 1992. The walkthrough consist of a dimly lit cavern with a large dragon sleeping silently, occasionally it will 'wake up' puffing smoke and growling. The building also contains La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, a gallery of displays which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures. La Boutique du Château, a shop selling Christmas ornaments year-round, and Merlin l'Enchanteur, a shop specialising in handmade glass figures are located on ground floor.

أذهب الآن لأنام قليلا وأدعولكل الذين صفت قلوبهم من الحسد والضغينة ، أما الذين حملتها قلوبهم وسعوا في الخلاص منها فسأدعو لهم مرتين.

Narcolepsy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Narcolepsy /ˈnɑrkəˌlɛpsi/, also known as hypnolepsy, is a chronic neurological disorder caused by the brain's inability to regulate sleep-wake cycles normally.[1] People with narcolepsy often experience disturbed nocturnal sleep and an abnormal daytime sleep pattern, which often is confused with insomnia. Narcoleptics, when falling asleep, generally experience the REM stage of sleep within 5 minutes, while most people do not experience REM sleep until an hour or so later.
One of the many problems that some narcoleptics experience is cataplexy, a sudden muscular weakness brought on by strong emotions (though many people experience cataplexy without having an emotional trigger).
Narcolepsy is a neurological sleep disorder. It is not caused by mental illness or psychological problems. It is most likely affected by a number of genetic mutations and abnormalities that affect specific biologic factors in the brain, combined with an environmental trigger during the brain's development, such as a virus.
The term narcolepsy derives from the French word narcolepsie created by the French physician Jean-Baptiste-Édouard Gélineau by combining the Greek νάρκη (narkē, "numbness" or "stupor"), and λῆψις (lepsis), "attack" or "seizure".

I do not want to leave Galapagos!!! I love the animals here :) The sea lions are everywhere on the islands... They sleep on the park benches like homeless people. In the water they are even more fun... They swim at your face and then quickly duck away while you're choking on salt water from the action! Haha... Hopefully we'll get to see some Blue Footed Boobies today :)))
Keep up with me :)
