Many Cleveland settlers were anti-slavery and abolitionists. After the opening of the Ohio and Erie Canal, Cleveland became a destination for fugitive slaves and the bondsmen who tracked them. Before the Civil War, slaves moved through Ohio's Underground Railroad network that extended two hundred and fifty miles from Ripley to Cleveland. Known by the secret code name "Hope," Cleveland became a destination for freedom seekers making their way north to Canada. Persons seeking freedom were often aided by abolitionists in University Circle, formerly a part of East Cleveland Township. To celebrate Cleveland's story of antislavery, the courageous people who sought freedom, and the station operators who helped them, this home was saved through the advocacy efforts of the Cleveland Restoration Society, Restore Cleveland Hope Inc., and University Circle Inc. Donated by University Hospitals in 2006, the home is reflective of Cleveland's anti-slavery era and legacy of abolition.

White slavery was a systematic practice in the Mediterranean, the Barbary Coast, and Italy from 1500–1800.

Muslims targeted white, Christian Europeans from Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, and the Americas.

The Barbary pirates' raids were so frequent that the coastline between Venice and Málaga was depopulated.

Nations, including the United States, paid tribute to the pirates to avoid their attacks.

The slave cliff Traelanipa which you can find on the island Vagar, one of the many islands of the Faroe islands is a mythical place. It´s called the slave cliff, as long ago it was the place where the slaves which got too old or weak had to make their last travel from the cliff into the sea. The whole place is rough and standing there with a pumping heart from a vertigo attack. That's where I took my pano shot.

Class 13 "Master & Slave" 13003 at Doncaster works on 12th May 1985. Its pre-TOPS numbering was D4500, the first of three such units rebuilt from originally Darlington-built Class 08 shunters, the work being carried out at Darlington Works in 1965 (master D4188 and slave D3698) to work the Tinsley hump marshalling yard. After being outshopped from Swindon works in 1980 for further service at Sheffield Tinsley, 13003 was eventually withdrawn from service on 20th January 1985 and was disposed of at Doncaster Works in September 1986.

I wanna be your slave

Do everything you say

And if I don't behave

Want you to make me beg

I wanna be your slave

Break out the whips and chains

Cause I can take the pain

Make me scream your name

Push me to the floor

Make sure my hands are tied

So i can feel you burning up inside

Are you a carbon slave of sin?

Carbon, number 6 on the periodic table, is an important component of all life on Earth. In fact, life on earth would not exist without carbon. The human body is about 18% carbon. Carbon-12 is the most common isotope of carbon; it has 6 protons, 6 electrons, and 6 neutrons. 666 is the number of the Beast—the number of a man. 666 is mentioned in Revelation 13…muhahaha!

If you continue to place your faith in the Climate Change cult, you will one day have a carbon handprint with a 666 carbon tracking smartchip-tattoo…Go green! (We will track your every move; For the sake of the planet we will control you…authoritarianism…woohoo)! Then you will be a transhuman carbon slave of the Beast…Recycle! (You will lose your individualism, your humanity; We will recycle your mind…mind control...woohoo)! You will be fully integrated into the Beast system…Sustainability! (The Beast will sustain you through AI, the internet of zombies/bodies, and the metaverse, while you are enslaved in your 15 minute smart cities…dystopia…woohoo)!

Man, who always falls short of God, was created on the sixth day. Yet God, in His perfection, rested on the seventh day. The Antichrist will claim to be God, yet in his sinful pride he will fall short. 666 the unholy trinity: Dragon, Beast, and False Prophet. These three imperfect beings will fall short of God! What tools! What counterfeits!

On the sixth day God created man from the dirt. Then God rested on the seventh day. “So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.” “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Our rest/eternity/perfection/salvation is in God through His Son. On the opposite side of the spectrum: “There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the Beast and his Image, or for anyone who receives the Mark of his name.” Man is imperfect (sinful), but Christ is perfect (sinless). “The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam (Jesus), a life-giving spirit.” God’s salvation is free, because Jesus paid the price for our sins. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound!

What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frederick Douglass circa 1852

The 1852 pamphlet printing of the speech

"What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?" is the title now given to a speech by Frederick Douglass delivered on July 5, 1852, in Corinthian Hall, Rochester, New York, addressing the Rochester Ladies' Anti-Slavery Society. The speech is perhaps the most widely known of all of Frederick Douglass' writings save his autobiographies. Many copies of one section of it, beginning in para. 32, have been circulated online.[4] Due to this and the variant titles given to it in various places, and the fact that it is called a July Fourth Oration but was actually delivered on July 5, some confusion has arisen about the date and contents of the speech. The speech has since been published under the above title in The Frederick Douglass Papers, Series One, Vol. 2. [5

While referring to the celebrations of the Independence Day in the United States the day before, the speech explores the constitutional and values-based arguments against the continued existence of Slavery in the United States. Douglass orates that positive statements about American values, such as liberty, citizenship, and freedom, were an offense to the enslaved population of the United States because of their lack of freedom, liberty, and citizenship. As well, Douglass referred not only to the captivity of enslaved people, but to the merciless exploitation and the cruelty and torture that slaves were subjected to in the United States.Rhetoricians R.L. Heath and D. Waymer called this topic the "paradox of the positive" because it highlights how something positive and meant to be positive can also exclude individuals.
