The improvements to Slaughter Lane at South 1st Street are designed to increase safety and improve mobility by adding a second left-turn lane at both approaches to the intersection on Slaughter Lane. The improvements will also enhance and pedestrian and bicycle connectivity by adding new shared use paths on Slaughter Lane and South First Street.
This was filmed for a CBC story in october 2010. The Campbell farm slaughterhouse is a good example of a small facility that can accomodate small-size producers.

I do not seek to entangle those around me in my mystery. What joys I can share I share, what secrets I can share I share. One thing I like to do is watch rain, another thing I like to do is drink coffee, and a third thing I like to do is wear only boxers. Here I am doing all three. I can also tell you that my mind is occupied by none of those three.
A Chosen of the Crimson Slaughter, from the Warhammer 40k Dark Vengeance set. My first time painting a Games Workshop model.
The models in the Dark Vengeance set are ridiculously detailed in general, so are a lot of fun to work on. I have the whole squad assembled and in my painting line, but this was the first I finished as a prototype of sorts for my color choices. I added the yellow-green tubes and blue-green waistcloth to splash in a bit more color, but otherwise stuck with the default studio scheme. I freehand painted on the Crimson Slaughter insignia on the right shoulder plate.
He’s not based yet as I’m waiting to finish the squad before I start building out the bases.
Final picture with quarter for scale.
#42 Slaughter Sauce
From Torchbearer Sauces (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania), purchased at Northern Virginia Summer Brewfest.
The company was hawking tee shirts (I survived the Zombie Annihilation) for its hottest sauce, Ultimate Annihilation, made from the Bhut Jolokia pepper. I didn't, survive. I put 2 small drops on a chip, and felt the burn for 15 minutes.
I 'settled' for #42 Slaughter Sauce, quite hot enough, with a sweet fruitiness up front. (One ingredient demerit: high fructose corn syrup.)
