The latest tutorial on Brickbuilt shows how to build slanted rockwork, like I used in my Risky Endeavor creation.
Recent visit to the National Museum of Scotland the low winter sunlight was slanting through the Victorian glass and steel roof over the main hall (which floods the interior with natural light, even in the winter), and because of the low angle of sun at this time of year the far end was dappled with these stripes of light slanting across the arching roof beams making beautiful patterns. The light and shadow just screamed for a monochrome shot...
Yesterday I visited the "slanted forest" for the first time.
It's such an amazing place... that I decided to shoot a self-portrait. :)
