Slant photos on Flickr

I couldn't get much closer to the icicles. I wanted to photograph them sideways to show how the wind had blown them to a freezing point on a slant but the walkway was frozen and I was alone. Kinda didn't want to fall in. It was pretty choppy today.

Folly Hall Mill, Huddersfield, is a Grade 2 listed building dating from 1844. The spinning mill was in use for nearly 150 years until its closure in 1993. The fireproof mill was most famously occupied by Joseph Lumb's, a world renowned producer of fine worsted yarn. Lumb's 'Golden Bale' is still internationally recognized as a standard for worsted. The wool used to make the quality yarn in the mill came from Austrailia and a large proportion of the workforce were bused in from Barnsley.

On the right, the gentle slopes of the Parco Naturale Puez-Odle. The mountains were given the name "Odle", which means "needles" in the Ladin language, because their peaks look just like a row of needles.

Hwy. 98, Holland area of Allen County, Kentucky. A typical barn built in Allen and Barren County during the 1930,s to the late 1940,s. The barns are slanted out on each side to make a hay feeder the length of the barn with hay put in them from the loft area.

Thought id break up the stream again with a contrasting image from the previous shot. This was taken a while back on our garden wall, it was a glass of homemade peach ice tea with some added cranberry juice, and on a hot day back then was quite the thirst quencher! I miss summer! :(
