Died 24th November 1941 aged 35

Son of John and Mary Slack, of Alfreton, Derbyshire.

Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire

U.S. Army Pfc. Frank K. Copass, of Thompkinsville, Ky., a radio telephone operator with the Scout Platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, Task Force No Slack, mans an automatic grenade launcher while pulling security above Helicopter Landing Zone Hawk above the Marawara District in eastern Afghanistan’s Kunar province, July 6. SLACK, Thomas. Private 11179, 8th Cheshire Regiment, killed in action in Mesopotamia on the 17th April 1916 aged 29. He was the son of Thomas and Mary. He is commemorated on a family memorial at Macclesfield Cemetery, Cheshire and also on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.
